Dr. Ankur G. Shah, MD

I have complete Faith and Trust in Dr. Shah my Primary Doctor because he makes me feel that I can resolve my medical problems with his guidance. He is a very good listener and doctor. I am very happy to have him as my Physician. When I leave his office, I feel happy and complete. Thank you Dr. Shah for all of your help to make me a healthier person.

Dr. Shah has been my primary physician for over 10 years. And during *every* visit I have had over these years (and there have been many), he has been excellent. He knows and cares about my medical history; he listens carefully and asks good questions when something new comes up; he makes excellent diagnoses and explains how and why he makes these diagnoses; he refers me to other specialists when necessary. I couldn’t ask for better treatment, and I feel so fortunate to have Dr. Shah as my doctor.

Dr. Shah is an excellent doctor. He listens to me about my ailments that I have. He makes the necessary suggestions and renewed certain medicines for me. He ordered certain blood tests. I am very happy that he is my primary care doctor. He helps me to feel good about myself. He shows kindness and patience. Thank you Dr. Shah.

If I could give a “0” rating I would!!! What a terrible experience. He walked into a room and didn’t even say hi or introduce himself. He opened a computer and barely said nothing! I was in the office for a physical for school. He asked me questions and barely did an exam. He seemed like I was a bother to him. I am a nurse and couldn’t believe my experience with him. I felt very uncomfortable in the room!

Saw Dr. Shah for a recommended follow up. He spent a total of 2 minutes in the room with me. Rushed through the exam, made me feel as though I was exaggerating my symptoms and was wasting his time.

This doctor should not be a doctor he is a complete jerk with a horrible bedside manner. He is not my regular doctor but was on call. He made me feel horrible. I had a urinary tract infection which I've been prone to since childhood. He asked me if I had been sleeping around?! Seriously. I told the receptionist I never want to see him again and complained about him to my doctor

I don't understand why some of the great doctors in this practice would want to be associated with a doctor like this. I saw him impatient because he was on call for the practice that I use and I hope I never see him again. Spent about 3 min in my room. Didn't introduce himself, and practically had his hand on the doorknob the whole time. Never asked me one question about what landed me on the hospital. Dodged my questions, and undermined the well respected urologist (who had been in my room 2 hours earlier with his opinion of my diagnosis) by dismissing that diagnosis but not giving reason why, his own opinion, or a course of action. In my opinion, he is a malpractice suit waiting to happen.

He is not my primary but he was covering for the practice when I was in the hospital. Every answer to my questions, ehich was relevant to whty i was admitted was, "I don't know, I am not familiar with your medical history" and when I tried to explain, he abruptly stopped me. He is very arrogant and apparently is not interested in knowing the whole picture. In a hurry to get in and get out mentality.

I have seen Dr. Shah several times both inpatient for and outpatient and have noticed that he ignores what the patient says or just doesn't listen to patients and he doesn't even read the patient chart for history or listen to patient history from the patient them self. If you make the wrong diagnosis or don't make a diagnosis then tell the patient that their medically and personal history based suggestion is wrong - in a cocky manner in front of numerous residents point blank - then you should probably have evidence or reason to back up your decision. The same week, a doctor in the same hospital, a specialist, made a diagnosis of what I had suggested to Dr. Shah. He has also told me before that he didn't think I was sick but gave me a Zpack anyway then refused to talk to me on the phone after I completed the z pack and was worse than beforemaking me wait an extended period) and eventually ordering the medication that my chart clearly shows I use with that infection. He is arrogant and… ignorant- and sees/hears what he wants and makes decisions based on that. Office staff are great, hospital staff are great, wait time is irrelevant.
