Dr. Ann Marie Bertles, MD

Dr. Ann Bertles Gynecologist (OBGYN) in katy Beware of this doctor, she has a beautiful advertisement, but this is not true, she is a biologist by profession, but she opened a private clinic, she writes good reviews to herself She is all about making money and doesn't care about her patients. If you want any information it's like pulling teeth. She does not offer any information unless you ask and you're given very vague answers. I would stay away from her. I suffered a lot from this doctor, lost money, time and health, do not risk it;

Very high surgical skills, and wonderful office staff. Very warm and comforting atmosphere. Runs on time!

This is a great office and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Dr Bertles is very knowlegable and her nurse Nancy knows her stuff! When she called me to discuss my lab results she answered all of my questions and was very patient with me, helping me understand what was going on.

She is an amazing and caring doctor. She takes the time to explain things to you to make sure you understand the circumstances. She works with what you are comfortable with. She also really understanding about my personal health issues and actually cares instead of diagnosing and walking away.

I was searching for a great Dr to deliver my first born and since Dr. Bertles had a great reviews, I decided to go to her. I saw few alarming actions and conversations that made me think of swtiching my Dr during my pregnancy but I did not want to deal with the stress of finding a new Dr as it can be difficult for Drs to take in you when you are few months pregenant. So I was told by Dr. Bertles that its better to have schedule C-section at 39 weeks but at 38 weeks I got contractions and went in to Methodist West Hospital to deliver my baby. I was schecule to deliver at 11am and I arrived at 8:30am to the hospital with contractions. When I asked the nurse to tell me how far is my contractions they said its not important because I am having a C-section. Dr. Bertles walked in to the room said Hi and said see you in the surgery room. She talked to me less than 1 mint. Didn't ask me how I am feeling and if I have any questions before I enter the surgery room. After they gave me the… epidural in the operation room and they raised the curtain while I was waiting for my husband to come in the Dr. proceded to cut me and I felt the knife so the Anthealist got nervous and gave me the mask and decided to put me under general Anthesia without communicating with me. I took the mask out and said I do not want this becasue I want to see my baby and I don't want to be put to sleep. At this time Dr. Bertles was still on the other side of the curtain and never came to my side to say that nothing is working and we have to put you under general anethesia. At no time she had the courtesy to communicate with her patient about a life changing exprience. So they had a nurse to come around and press the mask on my face and held my hands. And while I was going to sleep I heard they said don't let the Father in. I went to deep coma devastated knowing that after waitting 38 weeks I will not see my baby being deliver and I will not share that moment with my husband. At this time they send a nurse to tell my husband who was dressed and ready to come in that he can not enter with out any explanation. For 30 mints he was standing outside pasting back and forth not knowing why he couldn't go in and wonder what has happend to his wife and his child. After delivary when my husband mentiont that to Dr. Bertles she said blame it on the Anthesialigist. And when I mentioned to her at my post 6 weeks check up she never shaid she was sorry and she could of handle it better and directed me to complain to the hospital. I am deeply disturb by what has happend to my and my family that day and it has taking me around 5 months to have the courage and strength to write this. I will forever be haunted by the horrible experience of feeling of being held down and forced to go to sleep and not remembering the first time I held my child becuase of waking up from Anethesia. I still have pain on the left handside of my incision which has been there from the begining and have told her at my 6 weeks post-delivery appoitment. Which she said its normal but after 5 months its still paintful and when I called the office they said I have to pay for the visit and any other ultra sound if its needed. I am deepely hurt and dissapointed with Dr. Bertles and lack of professionlism and common human kindness. I will not be using her again and I will discourage all to stay away from her office.

Dr. Bertles is wonderful. She is kind, calming, and takes her time answering questions. Her nurse is the complete opposite. She sits behind her desk and doesn't even talk to patients. She does not return phone calls. This is extremely frustrating when waiting on lab results (that can only come from the nurse). As a nurse, I can tell when a fellow nurse does not care at all about their patients or have any passion for their job.

She's literally the best doctor I have ever had, and I hate going to the doctor. She is patient, understanding and makes you feel very comfortable no matter what the situation. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would!!!

Nothing I went to see her for was resolved. She did discuss things with me and took her time doing so, but as far as resolution of my problems I'm completely disappointed and dissatisfied.

Very snotty, not willing to answer questions, quick and inpatient, doesn't care to listen to you, and makes you feel as though the questions asked are unimportant, responding with an answer such as in range. Would not recommend her if you want a doctor who shows care and concern. Will find a better doctor. She schedules hospital appointments for her patience for night time, which is harder on the patient, a mother needs her rest, not to be up all night. She is very forceful and quick with her remarks. Does not care to hear what your concern is.

I would highly recommend Dr Bertles, she is very caring and spends time with you. Her nurse Nancy is also great, you can tell that she sincerely cares for each of her patients.
