Dr. Ann Skinner Chu, MD

Terrible. Coded visit incorrectly, refused to fix it. Don't use unless you like dealing with the call center. The only reason they call back is to tell you they are reporting you to collections. Updated 4/8... Even after paying the bill they still reported to collections. This doctors office does not care about people and will destroy your credit even after taking your money

I made an appointment with Dr. Chu after noticing that she was a high rated PCP in the area. I waited for 2 months for their soonest appointment, but didn't mind because I was happy to have gotten an appointment at all. On the day of the appointment, I arrived 20 minutes early son that I could complete the paperwork. The receptionist wasn't aware that I needed to complete paperwork, and I had to remind her. Midway through completing the paperwork, I realized that my printed name was spelled wrong on multiple documents. The receptionist asserted that it was fine- even my HIPPA document(s). I crossed it out and corrected and dated it. I waited in the lobby for about another 25 minutes. Once in the patient room, I waited approximately another hour and 10 minutes before I walked out to speak to the receptionist. She said "she hasn't been in to see you yet?" I told her that no one had come in since I was put in the room, and asked if this was normal. She shrugged, and said "depends on who… she's seeing before you...sometimes yes, sometimes no." I understand how that works, but the complete lack of communication from staff, a nurse, a doctor, or anyone was really very rude. I decided to leave, and did not reschedule. I'm sure Dr. Chu is as great as her reviews seem to indicate, if you can wait indefinitely to see her.

I have known Dr. Chu for many years. She is a knowledgeable and caring physician. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Chu has been my family Dr. for years now and I would never change. She has always treated me with the utmost respect and treated any illness accurately. Great Dr.

Been going to dr chu since I was born, so 23 years. She's a great doctor but her receptionist is beyond rude. I asked for a blue card for my daughter and she got smart. I am sad to say after 23 years I won't go back nor take my kids there, all because of the receptionist.

I returned to Huntsville after three years away. I had seen Dr. Chu fairly regularly in my time in Huntsville, and had always received good care. I was told over the phone that since I had been gone so long, that they would have to check and see if she would take me on as a new patient as she wasn't taking new patients. I waited all day to hear back. I'm still waiting. I'm sick and miserable and have been for two days, but what is the worst is that the staff has not yet chosen to call me back. I have instead opted to let nature take it's course. Due to some shabby medical treatment last year in Mississippi, I contracted Walking Pneumonia (I was told twice by a physician that it was a cold). I figure at the rate I'm going, it will easily return and mercifully end my time here.... I'm sure I'll get the call back the next day.
