We had a terrible experience at Dr. Chuang’s office that no cancer patient or caregiver should ever go through. My wife, who is battling cancer, had a pre-surgery appointment scheduled. Unfortunately, we arrived 15 minutes late due to unavoidable reasons—but instead of receiving understanding or support, we were treated with coldness and complete disrespect. The front desk staff, especially a brown-skinned Spanish-speaking woman, was incredibly rude and lacked any compassion. When I tried to advocate for my wife, the staff member responded dismissively, saying, “I’m speaking to your wife, not you,” as if that excused her behavior. Her tone and attitude were unprofessional, cold, and uncaring—especially knowing my wife is facing major surgery. This level of disrespect was shocking, especially in a medical setting where patients are supposed to feel safe and supported. My wife and I were so upset by the treatment that we decided to walk out and cancel care entirely. We will not entrust… her life to a facility that lacks basic compassion and professionalism. This was supposed to be a critical pre-surgery consultation—but instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and dismissed. No patient fighting for their life should be treated this way. I strongly advise others to think twice before coming here—especially if you or your loved one is seriously ill.
