Dr. Ann Sharon Cooper Ciccarelli, DO

What a horrible DO. I think she hates people. Baystate should be ashamed of her.

Dr. Cooper is a wonderful doctor. She was very interested in helping me and got to the bottom of my symptoms. She took the time to explain what she thought was going on. I felt very confident with her care. I wish she could be my PCP!

Rudest doctor I’ve ever encountered. Baystate should be embarrassed to have her. Never will go to urgent care in Northampton on Thursdays. She talked only a few minutes with me. I felt like I was wasting her time. I currently have a TBI and she spoke to me like everything was in my head. I literally had to say I am not making up these symptoms. A nurse suggested I go to urgent care because I was dizzy and passing out. She got annoyed because I didn’t know the nurse’s name. She got frustrated when I said the nurse was then going to help me find my mom after. She asked why. I loudly said because I’m legally blind. She has zero compassion for patients. She wants a paycheck without doing her job. She did nothing the nurse wanted done.

She’s rude and didn’t spend enough time on exam (approx. 5 minutes); I felt rushed out the door. She said my illness will pass and she offered no recommendations on how to treat my symptoms. She also wears too much perfume; it gave me a headache.

Its not very often that a doctor takes the time to listen to you. Dr. Cooper gave me her undivided attention and explained her thought process to me in terms I could understand. Thank you.

I saw Dr. Cooper-Cicarelli today and her lack of medical knowledge was astounding. I went in for treatment for a UTI and during my visit I had to explain to her that there are home test kits for UTI's. She also did not know what a Nuvaring was, and I had to explain that to her as well. In addition, when my UTI test came back positive, she became convinced that I must have an STD and she insisted on testing me for those as well, even though I assured her that I am in a monogamous relationship and it is highly unlikely that I have an STD. Unsurprisingly, the test came back negative. At first I thought that she was doing this just to be able to bill me for the STD testing, however, while delving into her medical training, I discovered that she was named in a medical malpractice suit a few years ago for negligence, where she was at fault for the death of a 79 year old man. I believe she was just covering herself, so as not to face another lawsuit.

Not going back, she is biased, she didn't want to take the time to listen. Just shrugged me off.
