Dr. Ann Jefferds, MD

Dr. Jefferds has unique abilities as a pulmonologist. She does not hesitate to think outside the box, and always considers the unique aspects of her patients. I have seen her for many years, and I consider myself fortunate.

I have seen Dr. Jefferds for many years. She is an excellent physician. She is a kind, caring, and knowledgeable physician. She takes time with you and makes sure you she has done what needs to be done.

I was told at my last visit that my insurance doesn't pay her enough and that it was costing her too much to see me. She said I needed to find a different doctor.

I AGREE WITH THE 1 STAR FOR DR. JEFFERDS..YOU CAN RARELY TALK WITH HER. SHE FORGETS WHAT MEDICINE YOUR ON..HAVE HAD SOME TEST WHERE RESULTS ARE NEVER SENT BACK TO YOU.. CODEING OF INSURANCE. WRONG ..HAVE TO GO BACK AND FIX INSURANCE..SHE JUST NOT THERE FOR YOU AS A PATIENT.

I have been seeing Dr. J for about 5 years. I switched to her as I had chronic symptoms that my old FP doctor couldn't figure out. She sent me to the right specialist and it was diagnosed and we started treatment. She is thoughtful, listens, and personable. We talk about travel, skiing. I once needed to see an Ortho for my elbow. She personally walked me to their office and got an appointment set up. She is a gem.

Dr Jefferds is unorganized to say the least. She can never remember anything about you or your condition because she still charts the old fashioned way (on paper) So, you have to remind her every time of your health problems. She will forget tests she ordered and then when you call to find out what the next step is (the staff tells you that you need to have the test that you just had). If you want a Dr that really listens to your concerns -FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR

At first I thought Dr. Jefferds was an awesome doctor. However, do not confuse bedside manner with knowledge and competency. She did not follow the medications she prescribed to me closely enough and as a result I ended up almost losing my life. During my recovery I met another of her past patients who was permanently disabled due to her lack of follow up and careful due diligence on her part when prescribing medications. Her staff also lost a critical skin biopsy that was never sent to the lab. If you want her to return your calls, forget it. Look for a new doctor fast. She has a nice personality but that does not make a competent doctor.

Dr. Jefferds is one of the best doctors I've ever been to. I visited her regulary for about 10 years. She is concerned about YOU and is thorough in her examination of your problems. Her brilliance and intelligence is evident. Once I came in with an abscess and she literally walked me down the hall to the general surgeon to have it excised. I only wish she was closer to where I now live. It will be hard to replace such an excellent and caring doctor.

Dr. Jefferds takes the time to provide personal and professional high quality in her job.
