Dr. Ann Therese Laidlaw, MD

After almost 2 years of pain and trying everything from PT, orthopedic surgical consult, massage therapy, cortisone steroid shot, I have no relief in the debilitating pain I’m enduring. The surgical consult I had lead me to no answers but another referral to another specialist...PMR Dr Laidlow. First a resident comes in and evaluates my range of motion (I scream in pain and wonder who hears me in the next room). Dr. Laidlaw comes in and does not examine me, only asks questions. Tells me that it’s not nerve pain (which is what the previous specialist said it could be). She proceeds to tell me it’s arthritis. I told her that there is no way that arthritis is this painful. She told me to take a Tylenol, buy a cane and lose weight and that everyone has pain with arthritis. Such a horrible bedside manner and she knows nothing. She has no idea what she is talking about. She wouldn’t listen to me or even explore my theory of a pinched or entrapped nerve. It was like she was saying,… “I’m the doctor... you’re not” I did not believe a word she said and continued in my quest to find out why I have this pain. I know it’s not arthritis. I know my body. I recently went to a chiropractor who specializes in laser therapy since these joker medical doctors like Dr Laidlaw obviously have no clue what they are doing. I guess that’s why they “practice” medicine. I have confirmation now that I have a herniated disc between my L4 and L5 and it’s pinching the nerve that wraps around my hip and down my thigh. I was put through the ringer with this ridiculous doctor laidlaw She did such a disservice to me. Her misdiagnoses and how she didn’t show a caring attitude towards my pain really makes me question why she is a doctor. Shame on her. I’d like to give her a piece of my mind in person but I’m not going to stoop to her level. I still can’t believe she told me to just take a Tylenol!!!! If I could choose zero stars in this review I would. One star is not low enough.. but I had to pick a star to write this review.
