Dr. Ann Marie Canterbury, MD

As a board-certified electrophysiologist, Dr. Canterbury tests, diagnoses and treats abnormal heart rhythms, including atrial fibrillation, bradycardia and tachycardia. She performs cardiac ablations and implants cardiac devices as needed. Dr. Canterbury believes in using her patient's goals to tailor an individual treatment plan designed to meet their needs. She encourages everyone to stay as active as possible, noting some rhythm problems may improve with movement and weight loss.An emerging leader in her field, Dr. Annie Canterbury was accepted into GLOWE (Growth and Leadership Opportunities for Women in Electrophysiology) by the Heart Rhythm Society. This program, geared toward the development of women in EP, provides her the unique opportunity to hone her leadership and professional skills. On the clinical side, Dr. Canterbury values the constantly evolving field of electrophysiology, which allows her to find the right mix of medications and procedures to help her patients …improve their quality of life and live longer. A native of Dayton, OH, Dr. Canterbury is married and has two children. She enjoys outdoor activities with her family, including hiking the local bike trail. She also enjoys watching sports and is an Ohio State football fan. Dr. Canterbury is a rarity in her field fewer than 10% of electrophysiologists are female.
