Summary
I am originally from Amish Country, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and settled in Minnesota after training at the Hennepin County Medical Center. I married a wonderful man who is a Minnesota native and family practitioner, and we are raising three beautiful sons.
Generally people are referred to nephrologists for evaluations and treatment of complex medical situations. My pleasure is helping patients and their care providers understand these medical problems better and to help individuals with serious illnesses live life as fully as possible. I particularly delight in the unique relationship that nephrologists have with their chronic dialysis and transplant patients. I am also board certified in hospice and palliative medicine to better care for patients at the end of their dialysis or transplant careers and for those with kidney failure who choose no dialysis.
I enjoy practicing at Regions Hospital and the HealthPartners Specialty Center because of the interesting cultural …diversity, the intellectually stimulating teaching environment, and the camaraderie of my capable colleagues. Because of my Lancaster County heritage, most people find me practical, straightforward, cost conscious, and good at baking pies.
