Dr. Ann Morie Spencer, MD

We took our newborn to OU Childrens ER...it was a holiday weekend. Our child was having problems eating. Dr. Spencer started ordering multiple tests...even wanted a spinal tap on a 10 day old child. We told her NO. She threatened us and used DHS as a tactic to make us admit our child. The end result was 10 days in the hospital with no conclusive results and we were reported to DHS as being unfit parents. The problem all the time was our child had been born with a cleft palate in his mouth. In all of Dr. Spencers endeavors, we realized she NEVER EVER physically touched, physically looked at or physically examined our child. We had good insurance and she started ordering tests after tests after tests. The day after we were released from OU Med Center, we went to another pediatrician and he found the problem in 5 MINUTES.NEVER USE THIS DOCTOR. NEVER USE OU CHILDRENS MEDICAL CENTER.

All I can say is absolutely horrible, horrible. You NEVER DISAGREE with Dr. Spencer EVER about a diagnosis concerning your child. IF YOU EVER DISAGREE with her diagnosis, be prepared to have a visit from DHS. She will turn you in as an unfit parent . She uses the strong-arm of DHS (Department of Human Services) and works hand in hand with them and will report you as an un-fit parent. NEVER,EVER, take your child to the OU Childrens Hospital Emergency Room if you can keep from it. You may never get your child back.
