Dr. Anna A. Abbasi, MD

I stayed with Nashua Dartmouth clinic for more than 25 years without ever complaining about any Dr, I love NH Dartmouth they are best ! but I had a very unhappy experience yesterday March 13, 2024. I had a cough on January 20th and consulted my primary care physician on February 23rd. On the same day, I underwent a chest X-ray, which showed normal results. Following the appointment, I took antibiotics for five days, and by February 29th, I was no longer coughing. However, I did notice occasional traces of blood in my sputum once in February. Due to a prior history of a minor kidney tumor removal in 2019, I expressed concerns about the possibility of a tumor on my lungs to my primary Dr, As a result, she referred me to Dartmouth Pulmonology in Manchester. Yesterday, March 13th, I visited Dr. Anna Abbasi at Dartmouth Pulmonology. Dr. Abbasi seemed to overreact and even suspected tuberculosis (TB), insisting on a CT scan. When I explained that I couldn't undergo a CT scan with… contrast, I asked if a scan without contrast was possible. However, she firmly declined this option. Furthermore, she threatened to report me to the New Hampshire Health Department immediately if I didn't comply with her recommendation. Shortly after, I received a call from the health department, which suggests that she followed through on her threat without any clear evidence of TB. I find this behavior to be highly unprofessional and irresponsible towards the patient. Dr. Abbasi's actions have made me very uncomfortable, and I am concerned about the unnecessary escalation of my case without proper justification.
