Dr. Anna N Alshansky, MD

My 15 year old (now 17) had a seizure and was subsequently diagnosed by Dr. Alshansky with a generalized seizure disorder. I found her to be professional, courteous, thorough.

A terrible doctor she does not know how to talk to patients and had me on the wrong medications. Does not know how to read an EEG! She thinks I would not remember since I was only 11.

Professional, thorough, comprehensive.

I really like Dr. Alshansky. She is friendly, intelligent and very professional She spends a great deal of time with my son, asking very in depth questions, finding out information about his health that I never even think to ask him. Her nursing staff are very courteous and helpful. The doctor always gets me in on time and is very efficient, which I appreciate. I do hate the receptionist and having to go through her to make appointments. She is slow, rude and clueless.

First off incredibly rude and disorganized receptionistDr was detached and seemed disinterested conducted an interview with my child in my presence his answers were inaccurate and she accepted them as gospelDon't waste your time I am so sorry I did my son is the one who suffers due to my mistake , bringing him to her

Dr. Alshansky has no business being a neurologist or even a doctor for that matter. I had an appointment for my daughter two years ago and she diagnosed my daughter with two major issues and had no symptoms to associate with her diagnosis ,just assumption. Either my daughter was going to have skull surgery or be dehabilitated for the rest of her life.Yet told me to go home and wait a month and see if any changes occurred.Her staff was horrible and rude. The first time in my life I actually yelled at another adult. What a shame that others have to see her because she is one of the only local pediatric neurologist. Yale has a Dr. Laura Ment that is wonderful and I have had wonderful encounters with Connecticut Childrens Medical Center with all other specialists and I can almost guarantee they would have a good neurologist from their track record. Hope this helps.

Dr. Alshansky could not answer our questions, regarding our son's condition, to my satisfaction. I too, felt the appointment was rushed and not very thorough.
