Dr. Anna L. Baker is a nationally board‑certified and licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine who began practicing in Sarasota in 1998 after graduating first in her class from the Florida Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine. Before embracing Oriental medicine, she earned a Master’s in Ceramic Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Geology from Ohio State University and spent 14 years as an aerospace R&D engineer. A career‑ending chemical sensitivity prompted her to pivot careers, bringing scientific rigor and engineering precision to her work in holistic healing.

In 1999 Dr. Baker developed her own acupuncture facelift and necklift technique after determining that existing methods were impractical for her patients; she has since documented outcomes carefully, collecting meticulously photographed results from more than 800 patients. That clinical database informs her practice and has led her to explore software tools for predicting treatment outcomes.
