Dr. Anna B Beceiro, MD

It has taken me a few years to face the trauma that could have been prevented by “Dr. Becerio.” I write this review for healing purposes but also to warn others about this “Doctor”. As a single, first time, pregnant minority-I made Beceiro my OB. During the pregnancy, Berceiro was disinterested, inattentive, rude, lacked compassion and approached me in a very condescending manner. I tried badly to ignore it and stick it out with her- as I thought finding a new OB while pregnant would be too much of a hassle. My regrets. During my earlier visits, She was adamant that I got off my anti-depressants immediately. I had been on those meds for years. The cold Turkey approach made me very sick and depressed thru out my entire pregnancy. The withdrawals plus pregnancy and depression was terrible. Not once did she mention any alternative meds. Not once did she worry about my mental health…or how going cold Turkey would affect anything. I struggled with depression and sickness my entire… pregnancy. In hind sight, I know going cold Turkey was one of the main causes. Fast forward to the end of my pregnancy. At my last OB visit, my feet were swollen, my blood pressure was high and I had protein in my urine- which clearly indicated pre-eclampsia. I was concerned but Becerio told me not to be. A few days later my water broke. That day I had extremely bad headaches. When I went to the hospital it was discovered that I had a severe case of preeclampsia. I had to be pumped with meds and my labor had to be induced-using pitocin. I was in labor for over 12 hours. During this time Becerio came in once to do a pelvic exam. During the exam, I felt the entire thing and she emphasized that I shouldn’t be feeling anything since I had an epidural. However…she did not request for another epidural or mention it to any of the other doctors or nurses. My family and I literally had to beg for me to get a second epidural. The pain I went thru while getting the strongest level of pitocin without a working epidural that “Dr Becerio” knew about, is indescribable. Hours later, the hospital finally gave in and gave me a second one. Beceiro lacked attentiveness, compassion and effort during my entire pregnancy. She put myself and my daughter in danger by not taking the necessary steps to diagnose me with preeclampsia. She is also one of the reasons I endured so much unnecessary physical pain during my labor. Had she advocated for me, and cared just a little-my pregnancy and labor would have been less traumatic. But she didn’t. I could have died that day and also my daughter. It was such a terrifying, traumatic experience. The after effects of what I went thru during my pregnancy lasted months /years after. I’m grateful that God looked out for us. If I could give Becerio 0 stars, I would. She should not have the option to be an OB. I’m sure there are others who have suffered under her care. I’m just lucky I survived!

I found Dr. Beceiro to be very thorough and very helpful during the time she spent with me. She illustrated my problem by using a colored photo and took the time to answer all of my questions.

This doctor is HORRIBLE! Worst experience ever. She did ZERO communication with family. She disregarded any concerns during the ENTIRE pregnancy. During the labor process this doctor did not update any family memebers

I had a placenta percreta. The ultrasound dectected something was wrong but never in my life did I think it could be life threatening. She took all the precautions and warned me prior to delivery of the out come. In the end I had a baby with some complications but I get love to see him live .

One of the worse experience. I had to came back because she always has an emergency my appointment was at 11:00 am and alway she wAnts that I coming back after lunch I have to pay 3,000.00 for nothing but she didn't do nothing and she never explain to me WHY. I will never recommend her.

I visited Dr. Anna Becerio today for my annual Pap smear, mammogram & Gyne checkup. My appointment time was 10:00 am, and I reached office by 10:01 am, as I have done my online check-in a day before visiting the office. I have been given one more paper to sign at the window and wait time for vitals was ten mins. Post vitals and history I have been told to wait again at the lobby with the approx wait time of 20 mins. I was called for a room check-up, and she quickly took a sample for Pap-Smear. She was thorough in her exam and a good listener with a right set of questions to understand if any issues. I am satisfied with my first visit to her.

Dr. Beceiro has been my dr since I was 21 years old I just turned 36. Through our time together she has always listened to my concerns and immediately addressed them. She’s didn’t suggest it could be my weight. Instead she would run the tests and thanks to her she diagnosed a left ovary benign tumor twice, and did my surgeries early enough to save my ovary! Years later she noticed my prolactin was off and immediately sent me for a brain scan, that’s how my brain tumor was diagnosed. I love that she has a lab across her office to get blood work done immediately if you ever think you are pregnant ... and what doctor does their own ultrasounds? She does her own! she wants to see it first hand and explain to you what she sees. Peace of mind instead of going to an imaging place and waiting to hear if you are ok.. Her office is super busy she is an amazing doctor and she is worth the wait be patient with the staff they are doing the best they can. I tried leaving due to my impatience and I… came running right back to her when I was concerned about my health because I felt safe with her.

She was very helpful and actually referred me to an Oncologist OB/GYN in the end because my case was more complicated. She was very professional and staff was very helpful

Overall she doesn't stress any concerns that are not present. She'll answer questions and explain. If you don't ask her anything don't expect to see her for a very long time. Her staff is very nice and easy going. She really made my pregnancy go by very smoothly. she was on task and she new what she had in her hands and all the test that where required. However she did miss out on telling me about medication that could be used during labor but the nurses will explain what every medication is for. She did deliver my child which is huge plus being that there's about 7 Dr's in their team. She did induce me and I delivered while she was on call. She's a great Dr. I highly recommend her. I know I'll go to her in the later future.
