Dr. Anna Renate Flynn, MD

A friend recommended Dr. Flynn for our son who suffers from anxiety and addiction. Dr. Flynn wanted my husband and I to meet with her prior, to get his background story, etc. then was to meet with our son. We spent two hours with her. At the end of the session, she said she wasn't able to assist. Oh - and then charged us $900.00. Seemed very wrong to us. Her time is valuable, as is ours, but if we couldn't help someone, we would not be taking money from them.

Accomplished more in the initial visit than another doctor did in two years. Takes the time to explain the diagnosis and answer questions.

I worked with Dr. Flynn for four months and found the experience to be a nightmare. She diagnosed me with conditions that I did NOT have (on the basis of two doctors I saw after her) and prescribed me several medications not pertinent to my condition - that gave me dangerous side effects. When I tried to tell her about the side effects, she just brushed me off. She never listens to anyone but herself, and jumps to conclusions. She also is always VERY late - once, she was half an hour late to our appointment. We then ended up meeting for the full one hour session, but she ended up charging me for an extra half hour. I should've spoken up but I did not say anything, and I kick myself for it every day. She also eats obnoxiously during our sessions. She is cold, rude, and and totally unapproachable. This doctor is a nightmare. Seek treatment elsewhere.

I saw her over a few months and found her to be sincere but overzealous. She seemed to jump to conclusions and ask leading questions in order to confirm a hunch rather than explore the actual situation.She seemed to be conservative in prescribing medication, preferring to look for other solutions first. While this would sometimes be a good thing, she seemed like she was trying--unsuccessfully--to be a therapist, even though that was obviously not her role.I would not recommend her to anyone.

I highly recommend Dr. Flynn.

My son saw this doctor for several months. She always seemed to make a point of reminding me that she was not to be contacted outside of office hours even though we never tried to do so. She was very distant and I found it difficult to communicate to her the level of issues my son was having. She seemed to have a very poor attitude toward clients. I would recommend against seeing this doctor.

2010My entire experience with this doctor has been a complete an utter nightmare. She is unprofessional, uncaring and refuses to listen to anyone but herself. Her care for my child was laughable at best and her lack of knowledge in regards to medication she administers and their side effects is mind blowing. I would not send my pets to this woman for any type of medical treatment or therapy. Look around, there has to be a better option then this doctor.

This doctor does not listen to what the patient is saying and jumps to conclusions that are not warranted. I found her to be very cold, and by the end of my initial appointment with her I was terribly bothered by the way she seemed to dismiss what I was saying. I never went back and am still bothered by the encounter. She also works with kids and parents and I have had several parents report to me that they had less than satisfactory experiences with her. Steer clear of this woman.
