This doctor diagnose my mother condition perfectly when other doctors could not. My mother was at St Francis and she was having severe itching, high cpk counts, kidney began to fail, heart rate through the roof, and blood pressure exploding. Dr Imperato came in by my mother's bed and very patiently explained what was going on with my mother and created a very detailed treatment regimen for her. She would call at all hours of the night to relay messages to my mother. I have never met such a very kind, caring, humble,dedicated, and professional physician as Dr. Imperato. Was treated for the wrong diagnosis for 5 years. She does not listen, pushes tons of medication. Treats everyone for psoriatic arthritis. Please stay away not a good doctor. Her receptionist is even worse. It's a business office rather than a doctor's office.

I was referred to Dr Imperato back in 2017 when I was suffering increasing intense pain. She was the first and only doctor that took me seriously and didn’t just tell me that my pain was not real. She tested for everything within reason and was very clear and concise with her diagnosis as well as treatment plan. Even with the ups and downs of my treatment she never got frustrated nor let me give up hope that she could and would help me. I travel from 12 hrs away to see Dr Imperato and will continue too! Do you have to wait sometimes when you go to her office YES but the same amount of time she gives the previous person is the same amount of time she gives you. All of her office staff are caring and compassionate and do try to get approvals from insurance even when it seems impossible. Even when I lost my insurance it didn’t matter Dr Imperato still treated me and her prices where very reasonable for the high level of care you are receiving. I would and do recommend her to everyone who… has or even could have a issue that a Rheumatologist can treat.

Dr. Imperato has treated my rheumatoid arthritis for about six years. I could not imagine a more skilled and compassionate doctor. You may have to wait for her, but I guarantee the wait is worth the unhurried and thorough care you will receive. I cannot praise her enough, as a physician and a human being.

Dr. Imperato knows medicine. If you're going to be non-compliant as a patient, don't waste her time. Call ahead and you won't wait. She has a very busy practice in addition to hospital rounds. I can't even imagine some of the complaints I have read. I have never witnessed or experienced any poor practices. How is it the doctors fault if the patient is morbidly obese and won't allow the doctor to weight her? How is it the doctors fault if the patient can't grasp the importance of weight and diet on joints and bones? I would, and have recommended Dr. Imperato.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Imperato as a medical student during my clerkships. Not only does she have a great deal of knowledge about various rheumatological pathologies, but she also has a great bedside manner. In this day and age, it is hard for doctor's to spend more than 15 minutes with a patient without taking a financial hit. Dr. Imperato would spend 30-45 minutes on average with each patient that we saw together, and would sometimes finish later than her office hours to give each patient the time they deserved. It was clear to me that she had a genuine interest in providing the best care to her patients as possible. Her medical knowledge was impressive as well. We had patients that had come in for the first time from other rheumatology office's, and had either been diagnosed with fibromyalgia or been pretty much deemed medical mysteries with no official diagnoses. Dr. Imperato was able to work them up and get them started on specific diets and medications. I got to… meet some of these patients and they told me how no one had listened to them or taken them seriously like Dr. Imperato had, and their lives were changed for the better because of her care. Overall, Dr. Imperato taught me tremendously during my time with her. Most importantly, she taught me to listen carefully to what my patients have to say...and of course to check their nails! I am proud to call her my future colleague, and excited to get to work with her in the future.

Dr. Imperato has an extraordinary attention to detail and is undoubtedly one of the hardest working doctors you will find. She literally saved my mother’s life twice because of how well she pays attention. She called my mother at 5am once telling her she needed to immediately go to the ER. After spending 3 months in the hospital with her treating my mother, I can verify she works hours like this every day. Doctors like this are NOT easy to find.
