Dr. Anna Jones

First off, my medical history is like an encyclopedia; I am not an easy patient to treat and many things need to be addressed and checked prior to any medical procedure or surgery. My first appointment with Dr. Jones, was because I had my period for 4 weeks straight (saw my pcp first who referred me to Dr. Jones). She was interested and wanted to know everything I had experienced, she explained everything that may have been going on and what treatments could be available. We decided to start with a hormone balancing medication. Follow up in 2 weeks nothing changed was still menstruating. So she did a uterine biopsy which came back negative, since that happened, she did a d&c which offered a week or so of relief (which was better than nothing for me at that point.) All together we spent a little over a month getting a plan together. It came down to either an ablation or hysterectomy. I was just going to get the ablation but on the day of my pre operation appointment I had changed my… mind and wanted to do the hysterectomy. She was understanding of my decision, respectful and detailed all the things I should know about what to expect from insurance, surgical info, medical leave from work and everything else under the sun I thought to ask. I never felt rushed, judged or uncomfortable. I have recommended Dr. Jones to many friends and recently my daughter. My surgery went great, no complications, follow up was perfect and they handled everything professionally from beginning to end. I will say that I am picky about my caregivers, I have to feel comfortable and they have to understand my complicated needs and history.

Anna Lisa is a smug inexperienced "doctor" with a degree from a school I never heard of. She was cold, careless and made me feel unimportant. She suggested surgery and when I see she has four years experience she will never touch me again.

This was my first trip to the obgyn and this DR was great! I was super nervous but she got all of the exams done very quickly and it wasn't as awful as I thought it would be. Highly recommend!

Felt like she did not listen to a word I said about the issues I had with blood clots because she kept recommending medicines I KNOW I cannot take due to clotting problems. I felt like she brushed this issue a side and did not want to discuss other options with me.Wait time was HORRID! I was in main lobby for 45 minutes and then waited at least an hour in the room was I got checked in. I even spoke with a nurse once back in the room when I stepped out to see if I had been forgotten.

I am very pleased with Dr. Jones. Never had a bad experience! I have PCOS, and she diagnosed it right away just looking at me (she did follow up with tests and an ultrasound). Really good beside manor and always a pleasant visit!

I have been a patient of Dr. Jones for 3 years now and see her at the Turkey Creek location. I have had nothing but positive experiences with her. She is friendly and straight forward. The staff is friendly and attentive as well. I have never had to wait over 20 minutes tops to get back to see the doctor and when scheduling an appointment, it's never been hard to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. I am sorry to hear that some people have had a bad experience, but felt I needed to post a positive experience. I have been to really bad doctors with horrible bedside manners and I don't feel Dr.Jones is remotely in this category.

Dr. Jones' bedside mannor is not good. She unnecessarily scared my husband and me after our first ultrasound telling us that we needed to see the high risk OB right away. We made the appointment, but the next day the ultrasound technician called me and told me that the results of my test were fine and that we had nothing to worry about. I asked if I still needed to see the high risk doctor and the tech said that she did not know why Dr. Jones had made us the appointment at all. We kept the appointment, but the high risk doctors told us that there was nothing to be concerned about and they seemed confused about why we were even there. Also, every time I go to see Dr. Jones, the wait time is well over an hour. I am actually looking for a new OB now.

I waited over an hour in the examination room for the doctor to come in and see me. When she came in, she spent 10 minutes with me tops for an annual exam, and although I was a brand new patient, she spent VERY little time to understand my medical history. The few questions she did ask me about my medical history, I answered, and then when the bill came to me, I discovered that she billed for 2 appointments that day--an annual exam AND an office visit. I didn't have any additional problems that day, I didn't ask for any additional advice/procedures, and did not take up any additional of the Dr.'s time. When I called the office to clear this up, I was told that my appointment covered topics "above and beyond" the scope of a typical annual examination. This was a nightmare to clear up with my insurance company, and will definitely not be going back to this office.

I had the worst experience with this Dr. The visit started bad with the receptionist when my appointment was scheduled for an yearly exam and I told them I had a positive pregnancy test but had some spotting. The receptionist told me it was probably a miscarriage. I then asked if the Dr. Would still see me and they had to ask. I proceeded back and they had me do an urine test. I was then told to get undressed from the waist down since I would not be getting a yearly exam even though I had told them my concerns and that I had not had an exam since 2009. When Dr Jones came in she thought I was someone else but didn't ask my name or introduce herself. She went on to ask me a few questions and the matter of factly said "well your not pregnant." I was confused since I had 2 positive home pregnancy tests. I was then very emotional and had to ask for blood work to be done. When I was paying for my visit the receptionist handed me a card to get my results for my pap smear. I proceeded to tell… her I did not have an exam or pap smear. I left the office crying and confused. I got another home pregnancy test when I got home and it was positive. I would not recommend this Dr to my worst enemy. Very traumatic experience.

My husband & I absolutely love Dr. Jones! She is great. She listens to every question and throughly answers we've ever had. She is compassionate and very caring. Her nurses are SO great as well. I will stay with Dr. Jones indefinitely.
