Anna Karpenko, MD

Dr. Anna Karpenko specializes in neurology and critical care medicine, bringing together expertise in brain health and intensive care for seriously ill patients. She earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed her internship at Drexel University College of Medicine, also in Philadelphia. Dr. Karpenko finished her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia in 2017, followed by fellowship training at the same institution in 2019. With 13 years of experience in medicine, she focuses on the complex care needs of patients with neurological conditions.

Dr. Karpenko practices at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She treats patients with ischemic stroke, which occurs when blood flow to the brain is blocked, and helps those who have experienced cerebrovascular accidents. She also provides care for patients with atherosclerosis, a condition where arteries become narrowed by plaque buildup …that can affect blood flow throughout the body.
