Dr. Anna Kundel, MD

During the Covid Pandemic I avoided going to my doctor’s office or going for bloodwork. I finally went for a checkup and bloodwork which showed high calcium levels and high parathyroid hormone levels. I was referred to Dr. Anna Kundel by my cardiologist in Ridgewood, NJ. Needless to say at 80 years old I was frightened when I learned I needed surgery. I’m post-op two weeks now from having one parathyroid gland that had a small benign tumor removed. I’m feeling 100% better than I have in more than a year already. Dr. Kundel is a outstanding caring human being as well as a top notch surgeon. The office staff and the nurse practitioner are outstanding too. My husband and I travel an hour and a half to Valley Hospital, because it’s the BEST Hospital in the tri-state area of NY/NJ/PA, near our rural home in North East PA. I went see to Dr. Kundel due to an abnormal nodule on my thyroid. Hearing that you need to have half your thyroid removed because it might be cancerous at the age of 23 is very scary, however, she made my family and I feel at ease. She KNOWS what she is talking about and is very thorough. She made sure we understood all the information given. She removed half of my thyroid last Monday, the surgery went well and I am healing beautifully. Thank you Dr. Kundel and your incredible staff for all that you have done! Highly recommend her

Dr. Kundel is smart, compassionate and decisive. I grew to trust her completely. I saw her because of an abnormal thyroid biopsy. She answered my many extensive questions thoroughly. I never felt rushed or dumb for asking the questions that were keeping me up at night. She helped me lay out all the possible options and their possible outcomes. She was easy to talk to. No complications with surgery and minimal scarring. I would highly recommend. I found her staff to be just as professional, competent and caring.

She's a very caring, understanding and compassionate doctor. She performed a thyrodectomy surgery on me and I have very minimal scarring. She made the whole process easy and bearable. She's quick with results and her explanations were very detailed. I would definitely recommend her!
