Dr. Anna M Makowiecki, MD

We met Dr. Makowiecki (Dr. M) just prior to surgery to stabilize Cathy's leg. Cathy is 100.5 years old and broke her femur just below the hip in a manner which caused horrible pain even when stationary. The only way to address that pain (aside from keeping her in an quasi immobile sleep state which leads to death in a drawn out bedridden manner) was to stabilize the break. In that all preliminary screening is done in the process leading up to the actual surgery, we didn't meet Dr M until Cathy was in the Pre-Op bay. Dr M. introduced herself, went over Cathy's incident and medical data, medical history, current condition, medications, etc. The Dr then went over the approaches to anesthesia along with pro's and con's and risks specific to Cathy, her recommendation, and our concerns and preferences. Long and short of it ... Cathy came through the operation fantastically. The surgeon was extremely pleased by Cathy's level of consciousness and remarked that "Dr Annie" did it again… (indicating that Dr. M's approach was right on and well done). I have no wish to undergo any kind of surgical procedure. If, however, that becomes necessary, I want "Dr Annie". Thank you Dr M.
