She told my 4 month old is having Hand Foot Mouth viral but she wasn't confident so confirmed with other provider and told me to take the baby to other main UPMC Children Lawrenceville location for blood work to make sure liver and heart didn't get infected right away. I the mother of twin left my one child home and took the infected baby and stayed in hospital till midnight but never received any bloodwork order and finally after following up on answering machine for several hours was told she just wanted some other doc in main location confirm her diagnosis. I will not recommend her because of her lack of experience and confidence.

I've been seeing Dr. Lewarchik at UPMC Shadyside - Shea Medical Center for at least two years now, and she's always been warm, knowledgeable, and caring. She's respected my input when it comes to making decisions about testing and treatment, and always prints extra information for me to review after our visit. I've never had a doctor who's been so kind and also very professional. She's also incredibly prompt on the myUPMC website--if I have a question, she'll reply within 24 hours and usually much sooner. Once, my pharmacy faxed a prescription renewal request to her office, and the pharmacists were shocked that she had responded so quickly that I could get my refill in the same pharmacy visit.
