Dr. Shender was my parents' doctor for close to 20 years. It's easy to find a great primary care physician to manage the illnesses that come with age and life. The true test of a doctor's ability is the care, advice and assistance provided to the patient and family when terminal illness takes hold.  Then, you need a caring doctor who knows you and your family to help you navigate the maze of care, tests, hospitals, surgeries and more. Always, Dr. Shender was an exceptional clinician and a kind and caring doctor for my parents.  When both of my parents became severely ill a year apart, during the pandemic, Dr. Shender truly demonstrated what a great doctor she is. Her caring, thoughtfulness, guidance and empathy helped us manage my parents' care and make the right medical choices for them. I was glad that we had such a caring, kind and communicative doctor who really had taken the time over the years to get to know my parents and family. It was always apparent how much care and… respect Dr. Shender had for my parents and also for our family. During the pandemic, both Dr. Shender and Alex were extremely helpful, accommodating and flexible in working with us in setting up online appointments and also in arranging care. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Shender to anyone seeking a primary care physician who will provide excellent care and also know and understand them as a patient and human being. We are so thankful to Dr. Shender for all the support, kindness and care she provided throughout the years she was our parents caregiver and especially as they transitioned through their end-of-life journey.

Dr. Shender has guided me through a very tough condition. I'm alive today because of what she did when other doctors gave up. It sounds like a fiction movie, but it is very real to me. She insisted that I do not ignore this issue and seek help, she found the right specialists and spent a lot of time following up and coordinating. All other doctors she worked with were very impressed with her. You know that your doctor is sharp when some of the top doctors in the country think so. I can not thank you enough Dr. Shender

I came to Dr. Shender as my primary care physician after my leaving my last practice because of poor service. She and her staff have been nothing but helpful. She is a wonderful doctor and has effectively helped me manage my asthma and allergies. She was very sympathetic with my issues and is an unbelievably knowledgeable doctor. I had an appointment yesterday and Dr. Shender called me herself to check how I was doing. I'm using her as my primary care doctor for a few years now and always she has an accurate diagnosis and treatments always work too, but what I particularly appreciate is when the doctor goes above and beyond for her patients. I have a very complex condition and I called her with a question about medication change requested by another doctor and a general course of action for my condition. She took time and end up calling that doctor, then my surgeon, and the medication manufacturer. She explained everything to me and expedited my visits to specialists.
