Dr. Anna Feldman Vertkin, MD

I urge any prospective patient to research carefully this physician's infamous history in California. I have been left with a lifelong disability due to her negligence during and following a medical procedure. There is a good reason why she closed her practice and left the state.

This doctor when working in Mill Valley, CA had an infamous reputation for malpractice law suits regarding her clinic. While the quick procedure I received was brisk, and was not impressed by the facilities, I did not have any serious problems. However, a close friend of mine did go to the same practice and ended nearly dying from a colonoscopy. It was a horrific experience and her practice did nothing to help her. In other countries she would be in prison for the amount of abuse she put through some of her patients. If you are reading this Ana Vertkin, I hope you feel ashamed of the damage that you've caused to so many innocent lives. You should not be practising medicine. Please do not go her practice, please look her up on the California State Board legal files.

She gave me hope and then lied....I will never forget feeling like she really did care.

The best dr and most knowledgeable on crohns disease..she is the absolute best no other gastroenterologist has ever known as much as she has, lovelace will be wrong to let her go..

This doctor practiced in Mill Valley Ca before NM. She just closed her office and left without informing any of her patients! What kind of Doc. Is that? It is probably just as well....her reputation was not good.

This is an old-fashioned doctor who actually listens and diagnoses, rather than letting a computer figure it out. She also has an incredible memory of your medical history. If you want old-fashioned caring and perceptive diagnosing,she's the best.

Dr Vertkin was very knowledgeable about Candida and diagnosed my condition during a routine Colonoscopy. The other Dr didn't even recognize what yeast over growth was. My endrocronolicistk laughed at the prospect at a diabetic man having Candidia overgrowth, which Dr. Vertkin diagnosed. within a couple of weeks with a prescription from Dr.Vertkin I was normal again and very thankful. I feel her recommendations are sound and right on point. Very knowledgeable Dr. and would trust her opinion more than some of the Dr's I have been seeing. She listens and has good knowledge and advise of what course of action to take.

God bless that this doctor is no longer in business. She diagnosed me many many years ago by calling me at my office on a Friday evening and telling me of my test results and informing me that my life henceforth was going to be miserable. She could not have been more irresponsible and inappropriate, and wrong. When I explained her behavior to my other physicians I was told to forget about her (i.e., fire her) and find a new doctor. It took several physicians to undo the mess she created.

Dr Vertkin has been my Dr. for over 10 years.I've been to many Dr's before her and was misdiagnosed every time. Dr Vertkin saved my life. Had i not become one of her patients i doubt i would be here today.She is extremely caring, always available whenever i was in need of medical help.,as it says on her web-page24/7, this is true.She has shown me many times that as far as diagnosing the problem, she has an uncanny ability to know exactly what is going on. I have had a few surguries and she always was there, checking up on me, and also assisting other Dr's who hold her in high regard,for they turned to her for help.One of the many special qualities she has is that she listens. Previous Dr's i have had is that alot of DR.s dont take the time to truly listen.I give Dr. Vertkin an A+ in all areas and would not consider another Dr without her stamp of approval, for when you are in her care you can count on it being 100%

I'm not sure who's writing the negative reviews, because I've never met a REAL patient of Dr. Vertkin who hasn't loved her.No, she's not a "by the numbers" doctor. If you want to be treated like a number there are any number of doctors who will treat you that way, shove pharmaceuticals at you and be done with you. She doesn't do what's popular with insurance companies because it's cheap, or popular with drug makers because it's profitable. SHE DOES WHAT'S RIGHT FOR YOU AT A PATIENT--AND PERSON!Dr. Vertkin treats every individual as a human being. I have personally recommended friends to her, and all have been helped, and grateful.DR VERTKIN LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE. I had very, very bad colitis, and nearly died. Before I saw her, the top gastroenterologist in San Francisco gave me no hope, said I'd need to have surgery, and literally left me to die from blood loss. He was impossible to contact, would make me wait for hours and see me for maybe 5 minutes. Dr. Vertkin, on the other hand,… was actually caring, and gave me HOPE. She said, "you can be well again," and I hadn't been to another doctor who made me think that was a possibility!And--she followed up with a regimen that now has me in endoscopic remission--for almost 10 years. She reads everything, and really knows what works, even if they're not treatments that make drug companies rich.She is easy to talk to, easy to get ahold of if you need something. So I simply don't believe the other reviews because I have too much experience as her patient, and with friends as her patients.She is a rare doctor who both cares--and knows what she's doing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER.
