Dr. Anne Hardart, MD

So basically because you are one of the millions of Americans that have lost their work insurance due to the pandemic and now have govt insurance your health is NOT a priority. I was a patient of Dr. Hardart for about 10 yrs, but now that I dont have "private" work insurance I cant be seen. I was given the clinic number only to be told WE'RE NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS. Ok, so I guess us lower form of humans with govt insurance can just die.

It's true that her office is mismanaged; that the front desk staff is impatient and that the waits are long. But when I thought I had a pelvic floor issue, the minute I was in the room with her, I felt like I was in very capable hands. I felt that I would trust her with my life, and that's how you should feel about your doctor. That being said, when she stopped doing the GYN appointments she didn't advise her patients, nor did the front desk advise I wouldn't be seeing her when I called. I found that out when the PA came in and said she'd be doing my exam. That was disappointing and I was angry at her about that. I felt baited and switched. But if you have an issue of her specialty, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend her. She's brusque and straightforward, but you're not there to be friends; you're there for her expertise.

I was referred to this physician in 2017 by my PCP Carol Larson who has recently retired in 2018. I was pleased with my visit and definitely need to do a follow-up. She took her time with me and I had a complete examination. I give her 5 stars for bedside manners.

This doctor is difficult just for the sake of being difficult. I asked her “after hours” to send me a script for medication I have been taking for years and she actually refused. I was seeing her partner for years and have have multiple medical issues. This doctor got on the phone and was AWFUL. Medicine is to help people feel better. For anyone who suffers from urogeinocological problem find a doctor who cares.

Unless you have lots of time and patience, don't waste your time. I can't tell you if she's a good doctor because I finally walked out after waiting 1:51 min. I kept asking how much longer and the people at the front desk kept telling me a "few more minutes, she's running behind". Meanwhile people who came in after me got to see her! Since I was a first time patient I was told it would take me longer. She was just going to "quickly talk" to the other patient. 1:51 mins! Many good doctors in NYC, going to see someone else.

Unbelievably poor quality of care. Saw Dr. Hardart two times, spending hundreds of dollars on copays and tests she ordered. I needed to follow up with a phone call upon getting lab results back and could NOT get ahold of her. Called the office countless times, always got a promise from the receptionist she'd call back, and sent multiple messages through the Mt. Sinai portal. Eventually gave up and found new doc, who is actually willing to communicate when necessary.

I love the personal attention she gives me .answers all my questions promptly.

The wait time for my first appointment with Dr. Hardart was approximately 30 minutes. She was really delightful to talk with and made me feel quite at ease. She listened to my history and zeroed in on my problems and suggested many options. I would highly recommend this doctor!

Dr. Hardart came highly recommended by my GYN. I was able to get an appointment easily. I arrived at my appointment before the doctor, which was fine. There was only one other patient in the waiting room before me. As I'm sitting there waiting, there was a patient who came in with her daughter who also had an appointment with Dr. Hardart, now either she was late, early or we both had 9:00 a.m. appointments. Silly me thought, logically, that since I was there first, I would be called to see the doctor first. That did not happen. The woman who came in after me saw her first. Around 9:30 a.m. I asked again about the doctor and was told that she was in and that I would see her shortly. I was called in around 9:40 a.m. just to be taken to a room to get my blood pressure taken and ask about my weight and height. I thought was I being taken into the examination room. I was told after that to wait in another "waiting" area because the doctor was seeing another patient. How… ridiculous is the entire process! Where did these other people come from when I was in before the doctor and these "other" patients. At 10:00 a.m. I still wasn't called in to see the doctor. I decided that they wasted enough of my time for the day. I walked out! I will NEVER, EVER go back to that office. How dare you think that my time is not as important as yours! It was the most inconsiderate, unprofessional treatment I have received from a doctor! Be HONEST!

Dr. Hardart is a wonderful doctor. She answered my questions before surgery, continued to answer my questions during the aftercare and was responsive and caring as issues came up post surgery. She returned my phone calls and prescribed medication and genuinely wanted me to know that no issue was too small to bring to her attention. I would definitely recommend her. The only drawback is that the wait in the waiting room is very long.
