Dr. Anne-Marie Marie C Marcoux, MD

This was the worst doctor's appointment I have ever had. The nurse who brought me into the room was abrasive in the way that she addressed me with her questions. When Dr. Marcoux came into the room, she was also abrasive. I don't believe she smiled once. Also, the staff was not masked, which surprised me. When they e-mailed me the notes from my Portal, they had the reason for my visit incorrect. Also they had my Primary Care Physician as someone I never heard of. I called them to correct this information, but my Portal does not reflect the corrections. All in all, I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

After dealing with fecal incontinence for 10 years, I finally made an appointment with Dr. Marcaux after reading her positive reviews. I have never given a negative review before but felt she might gain something from this one... First, the assistant was not very friendly, not a requirement, of course, but helps under this circumstance. My blood pressure that day was 144 when I am always very low (110 to 120) and it was just taken at my Dr. the past week...I was alarmed and mentioned that, so she took it again, and of course, it was even higher now , 155! It concerned me since I was scheduled for an ultra sound for my arteries that week also..she said well let's take it till we get a number you like!?And that was it?? no conversation...I felt Dr. Marcaux didn't ask me enough questions, ie diet, supplements, etc...I kept offering info like my current diet...I even brought my supplements along in case that was a problem! I filled out an extensive questionnaire that I thought she might… refer to but she didn't. She just appeared somewhat disinterested making me feel that my issue seem not so important, but it was to me! Maybe I was looking for too much... I felt more like an annoyance and left with an uncomfortable feeling...friendly conversation and concern would really make a patient feel much more at ease...it was a "cold" visit. At the end of the visit, Dr. Marcaux asked me if I wanted a colonoscopy (who does???) I thought she should be the judge of that..so I declined. She did give me what seems like some sound advice which I will try and that I hope will help...it's really not a pleasant thing to live with...I am sure she is a very good Dr. by other reviews, my experience was just a disappointment. Maybe it was just an off day...I was looking for a female doctor because of the embarrassing problem but I think I will look for another doctor down the road, male or female this time...

I saw Dr. Marcoux for the first time for a routine colonoscopy. I had some issues with the prep but the procedure went smoothly. Dr. Marcoux has wonderful bedside manner and was very sweet and thorough explaining the results of the procedure and aftercare. I would highly recommend Dr. Marcoux!!

I need to see another dr. tomorrow. I suffered a lot in last two weeks. not only feel pain but cant not go to bothroom. I have to sit on a sitz bath (suggested by my family doctor) in order to discharge..

Dr. Marcoux not only has ZERO bedside manners, she actually is more combative and demeaning rather than empathetic and comforting. I had a number of very painful issues after the medical procedure she performed. I ended up being hospitalized for these issues and I never seen or heard from her until day 5 of my admission, during which she spent less than 5 minutes with me. I still continue to suffer from excruciating pain and excessive bleeding because of the procedure performed by this doctor. Therefore, I would NEVER recommend her to anyone!

Dr is awesome.

She was a wonderful doctors She was very caring. I would tell every one of my friend if they needed her she is great I was there in 2014 or 2015 and I would go back to her again

I have suffered since my teens with IBD, and had a illectomy when I was 20. In my mid fifties I developed an internal bleed, likely a diverticula in a bad section of my intestines. I arrived at St Mary's ER in the early evening, and Dr Marcoux came in quickly, missing the start of a family vacation, to treat my emergency. I was literally bleeding to death from the inside. My surgery took place after midnight, with both Drs Marcoux and Goldstein -- it was a very risky surgery, but everything came out great. She removed the worst part of my gut, and my gut health has since become better than since I was in my teens. Her great surgical skills kept me alive and from having a "bag". She is a great surgeon, IMO. I thank her and Dr Goldstein!
