Don’t bother calling. The office seems very busy and when I finally got a call back I was told by a receptionist (who wouldn’t provide their name) that they are not accepting new patients. This of course is a issue because Hackensack’s website lists her as the opposite.

First an MA took my info. Then walked in a 3rd year medical student asking me why I was there. I said where is dr? Medical student said you give me the information and I will relay it back to the doctor I said I would prefer to see the doctor only. Medical student said dr is on the phone. I had to wait 20 minutes before doctor came in and she was very cold didn’t provide very much information. I felt as though she didn’t want to be there. Awful experience.

Knowledgeable. Thorough. Professional. Compassionate. Excellent.

TWO VISTS AND A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME ON THE 2 ND VIST DID NOT EVEN SEE THE DOCTOR

I really liked Dr. van Hoven. She was nice and caring and spent time with me explaning everything.

Dr Van Hoven didn't ask too many questions, just seemed to diagnose based on test results, quick and by the book. I can't speak much about her knowledge because she didn't share very much information with me. I think she has potential but needs to make a little more effort getting to know her patients (in terms of medical history, symptoms, etc) by asking questions and explaining the diagnosis, especially when it's a recent diagnosis. She could do much better.

My daughter felt very comfortable with Dr. Van Hoven and I would recommend her
