Dr. Anne M Mckenzie-Brown, MD

I have been LUCKY enough to have Dr. McKenzie-Brown in several of my surgeries and she literally made all of them so much easier to recover. She listens to your needs and really cares about you. I can NOT recommend her enough!

I've been a patient of Dr. McKenzie-Brown for more years than I can remember. I have never had a negative experience with her or her staff. They consistently go above and beyond in the level of care they provide. (That includes lots of smiles and hugs) Not only do I have the utmost respect for her, I also know that I matter to her and her team. They care. And it shows. I'm addition to that, when my elderly mother had several issues with her spine, she saw several different pain management doctors, and was not seeing any results. I brought her to Dr. McKenzie-Brown. She LOVED her. Everyone was so kind and gentle in their treatment of her. Dr. McKenzie-Brown also helped me find answers for an unrelated situation, when nobody else had a clue. No one else made the effort to be persistent in figuring out what turned out to be an extremely rare disorder. She saved my life.

At first she seemed to be alright, but as I continued going to Emory I noticed her lack of care. She shows no empathy for her patients. She asks questions that are in the chart. Dr. Brown and her intern are bullies point blank period. As a patient I don’t feel safe being under her care at all. She speaks to me as if I don’t matter at all. Someone please give her a lesson on nursing 101 bedside manners.

My visit was rushed doing paperwork,I felt it was fast just to get to the next pt they did unessary tests,and she really wasn't to concerne about where my pain is,my medical record must not have been reviewed because she was only going by charts in emory system from 3 to 4 years ago I saw her for and office visit and was charged for out pt, I am very very unsatisfied, with my visit I will not visit anymore.

Dr. McKenzie -Brown is amazing. I finally feel I'm moving forward.

she gave me meds that lowered my blood pressure to a dangerous level. not recommended.

I saw Dr. Mckenzie Brown for several months. The first visit she had a resident do most of the exam.When she came in the room she talked over me to the other Physician. Her bedside manner was not up to par. I was scheduled for an injection in my lower back. I had 3 injections. Then she did a nerve ablation. After several ablations I still had the same amount of pain. I kept telling her after each injection that I still had just as much pain as before. I was told that it may take up as much 6 weeks in order to have good results. That never happened. I feel like she did not listen to me. I am out of a lot of missed time at work and several thousand dollars. I would not go back to her.

If you have a neck injury and facing the kind of pain you've never felt before, make sure to seek out Dr. M-Brown's consult before going anywhere else. Because I wanted to seek an alternative solution to getting the 'shot' I went to Dr. M-Brown for a second opinion. After a thorough examination by the MDs in training as well as by Dr. M-Brown, my nerve pains were isolated, identified, and understood. This resulted me in being prescribed the exact pain medications that I needed along with physical therapy. In less than 50% of the anticipated time, I was completely recovered with 0 steroidal injection! I was able to avoid that awful thing altogether which was my desire. This was in 2011. Fast forward, this past year I had a recurring injury in my neck and again I was healed in no time without any invasive measures or shots. While another doctor elsewhere try to profit from my pain by forcing corticosteroids down my neck (pardon my pun), this doctor truly listens to her patient… and tries to find alternative solutions that may not always be the easy path or even a profitable one but the remedy that will be most beneficial to that patient and that patient's needs. Precisely because she's such a good listener and is highly experienced she is a master of pain management. I truly admire, respect, and honor Dr. McKenzie-Brown for saving me from the incredulous pain that I faced and "saving my neck".

The best neurological eval, I ever had. She was excellent! You can tell she knew what she was doing. Dr. McKenzie-Brown only directed me to the procedures that will help me.

When we feel better as a result of a doctor's treatment, they get good reviews. When we don't, its the doctor's fault--right? I am 30 years post-op from scoliosis surgery, and Dr. Brown performed a cortisone steroid shot to relieve pain I'd been experiencing. Well, the pain is better, but not best. Is that to say she 'gets an "F" for my net result? No, because I had a similar kind of shot performed in 2008 (by another doctor) and it worked well.I liked her demeanor, and felt her sincerity in the process.
