Dr. Anne Herff Meyer

Dr. Anne Meyer has been practicing biological dentistry on the Oregon coast for the past eight years. Biological dentistry recognizes the impact of toxic dental materials on physiological health.
Dr. Meyer’s holistic approach to general dentistry recognizes that dental problems may be the result of an imbalance elsewhere in the body. She follows specific protocols for safe mercury filling removal and focuses on the underlying causes of tooth decay and periodontal disease by stressing diet and alternative therapies to regain good health. Dr. Meyer works with physicians knowledgeable in testing for and detoxifying mercury.
Her commitment to the principles of good health, good medicine and protecting the environment led her to study the principles of Huggins Applied Healing, and incorporate protocols for safe and gentle dentistry into her practice. Her practice also received accreditation from the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), a vanguard of …science-based biological dentistry, which provided training in oxygen and ozone therapy.
As your oral health doctor, Dr. Meyer is aware that mercury vapor and dental infections can have a negative impact on overall health. Because of this concern, we focus on patient education and strive to remove mercury amalgam (silver) fillings in a safe way.
Balance BioDental follows all of the IAOMT recommendations for the safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings. We can also use a materials reactivity test to check your compatibility to dental materials. We also work closely with alternative health care professionals to help you achieve your optimum health goals.
Our office is environmentally friendly and utilizes a mercury separator to prevent mercury and other toxic elements from entering the environment via the waste water system.
