Dr. Anne Fatima Mian, MD

Started seeing Dr. Mian in 2018, she seemed kind. Each monthly visit, she would read over my notes, while I sat, after already waiting sometimes 30 or even 90 minutes past my appt. time, even if I was the first patient of the day. Records showed that I was receiving meds I wasn't taking and each month she promised to remove them. Then suddenly switched to PA, he was kind but often didn't even know my name, he would greet me, then realize this, go and look at the chart and then confirm it. He would also read notes, while I sat there, same issues with the records...then one day, someone new told me I would be speaking with them (Covid/telehealth) not even informing me that they were replacing last PA. This PA was only there for 6 months and after asking for 2 years for a change in anti-depressant, this one said that the next PA will be responsible... Ridiculous. To my knowledge, no one has yet been hired. Forget getting through on the telephone, you won't be called back the same… day or even week. Prescriptions are never faxed, the first time. Three separate times, after more than a two week delay, I've personally gone back to the office to watch them fax it!

I liked Dr. Mian then she turned me over to her associate, Dr. Saddiq. Neither has gotten to know me as a patient, neither can remember my name or any history. My records are never updated and for whatever reason, my prescriptions seem to never get filled because pharmacy doesn't get them. Repeated calls result on hold times that can go over 30 minutes. Seldom are phones answered... One time, I had to call 8 times and visit 2x just because they couldn't get their act together but when I ask for hand written script I am refused. This is so unnecessary and makes my experience utterly frustrating. Add to it that my payments rarely get processed (so that I go in showing them my receipts and this is simply a nightmare.

Disorganized.

I was a patient at her practice for almost 3 years and was tossed around from PA to PA... which was not really OK, but not my main issue with the practice. Recently I went in for my usual bi-monthly appointment and my PA was gone (no one called to inform me of this or tell me I would be meeting with someone different) and I was told my appointment would now be with Dr. Anne Mian. I waited for 1 1/2 hours for my appointment even though NO ONE was in her office... she wasn't delayed (yet) in all her appointments because I was the second appointment of the day. After that rough start, I get called in and she immediately starts reading through my patient history notes aloud in a mocking way. She made me feel silly and dramatic for my severe depression and anxiety that I have been dealing with for 10+ years. She immediately said she wanted to change my medications and that, "I shouldn't expect medication to fix everything for me." I left her office feeling defeated and like my depression… and anxiety was my own fault. No one should be made to feel that way.

Love her! She is so exceptional !

Dr. Mian helped me with my son who has schizophrenia. Although he's living in another state now, I would go back to her in a heartbeat. Her office took him quickly when he was having problems and she went above and beyond to help him. He's doing well now.

Dr. Mian will spend the time working with you to help you figure out your illness or disease. If you follow her directions, i.e. take your medicine, and openly share your habits (good and bad) eventually you will get better by working with her. She is incredibly intuitive and can pick up on your body language and point out problems that you might not have even noticed yourself. Don’t be afraid of telling her your dirty secrets, she does not judge, sometimes she might offer an explanation of why you might be doing these negative behaviors (this is something that you go to a mental health counselor for, not a psychiatrist!) and she will adjusts your medications so that you will have less of a chance of hurting yourself. So when you are sitting in her office for an hour and you start to get mad at how long you are waiting, just remember that when you do get to see her, you are getting one of the best doctors in the area, I have tried a few. Note: you are only going to get 10-20 mins at… the maximum with her, so do yourself a favor and open up MS word and write down all your meds and the quantities that you take and what time you take them, and then make a few notes that you have that are your main concerns. This will make thing go much smoother. This is something that I learned after struggling with Bipolar for the last 5 years.

Worst doctor I've ever seen. Excessive wait times for appointments regardless of the time of day of appointment. I tried to avoid late day backups by scheduling first thing in the morning. Would have worked except half the time she was late showing up to the office. Literally waited more than 2 hours once for a 15 minute appointment. Good things come to those who wait....not in this case. I recall having an appointment with her where she spent half of the session repeating the same informational questions to me she had posed a week prior. This wasn't for the purpose of reinforcement, this was because she was so ill prepared for my appointment that she had no clue what we recently had already discussed. I was more prepared for the appointment than she was...she might as well compensated me for the visit. Just awful, provided minimal insight and demonstrated complete lack of regard for her patients by consistently being late 100% of the time

Dr. Anne Mian is very unprofessional with respect to her patients time. She is ALWAYS; I walked in with her for my 11:30 appt, I got to the waiting room and her 10:00, 10:15, 10:30,10:45, 11:00, 11:15 and me were all there! I was told I could wait or reschedule!

The doctor was extremely rude. She wouldn't give me the medications I've been on for over 10 years because of my age which is 26. She said she start a different plan but refused to tell me or even give me a hint as to what it was unless I cold turkey my meds I'm on now when I have epilepsy and continued to see her. Then she pushed me out of her office. She was rude, didn't explain much, and used my age as an excuse. Save your money and time and DO NOT SEE HER! She is wicked and shouldn't have a license.
