Dr. Anne Conley Weaver, MD

A wonderful physician.

Anne Weaver is a wonderful medical doctor, not a "therapist." The previous reviewer was obviously talking about someone else. Dr. Weaver is kind, thorough, and very well informed. The fact that she has been forced to retire due to the closing of her office is a great loss for Amherst and surrounding communities.

Anne may mean well, but I think she's dangerous. I chose to work with Anne because she touts herself as being "recovery focused " After agreeing to work with me and meeting for a few sessions, Anne called me out of the blue and said she couldn't work with the trauma I'd experienced. Okay, fair enough... but instead of referring me and going on her way, she offered to find support for me, as she looked for a referral for me. Okay... except she never did either. When I called her back, she told me to go to a peer respite. First of all, one of the respites she recommended isn't even open yet, the second one costs $$ in cash per day, and someone just got stabbed nearly to death at the third respite. Second of all, I don't need to go anywhere. I needed someone to talk to, to sort all of this crazy stuff I've experienced out. So I tell her this. So she starts screaming at me to go to the hospital. Then she starts screaming about the holiday traffic she will soon have to deal with, and how… she wasted time talking to me in the first place. on and on about her kids choir recital and the holiday traffic again. Classist, abelist, not at all trauma informed. Not at all recovery focused -- I'm still in shock. Not at all client centered .... I'm still in slight disbelief in regards to her holiday tirade.

It is obvious that Anne Weaver is not a good Doctor to work for. Her office seems very unorganized and the turnover rate of her staff is outrageous! She had a few very good Medical Assistants a few years back, that ended up leaving. Ever since then, every time you go into Amherst Family Practice there is new staff in the back. She obviously does not treat her staff well or she would not have this problem. So, how can you think you are going to receive "great" care from this Doctor, with the way she treats her employees? That has made it more than enough reason for me to leave the practice to find another PCP. That and her lack of bedside manner.

I left this doctor after several years that included 2 obvious misdiagnoses, 1 failure to diagnose a serious problem, 2 instances of prescribing drugs that caused serious issues, followed by failure to understand that the drugs were the cause of the problems and, lastly, 2 unethical actions.

Her office staff is professional and friendly. When you call to make an appt you get to speak with an office member rather than an aswering machine. Staff is very helpful to make appt at your convenient time. Dr. Anne is a good doctor. She actually cares about her patients. She is excellent with Kids. It does take time to wait but thats in every doctor office I have been at. I highly recomend her.

I have been her patient for five years. I have some chronic medical issues; she is always patient, caring and very helpful. I have always felt that she gives me her full attention, and I have never felt rushed.

dr. weaver was rude....which probably showed a lack of confidence in her abilities

My family uses Dr Weaver as both a PCP and a pediatrician. We started out seeing her with our children and decided we liked her enough to transfer our care to her as well. Dr Weaver has seen us through two new babies and assorted emergencies as well. Don't let her calm demeanor and lack of physical aggressiveness trick you into thinking she isn't competent. There are only two doctors in this practice and they can be rather busy. Even still, I find they're better and faster about calling back than Valley Medical ever was...

Dr. Weaver has a very mild manner that lacks confidence which leaves one to believe she is not confident in her medical practioner abilities. Not someone I would recommend seeing for another more than the common cold.
