Dr. Anne Catherine Weiss, DO

I have never encountered a physician in the UW Health system that is this unconcerned about patient understanding what is going on. Spent a lot of time getting information from me and testing me and then didn't tell me what the results were. When I followed up, asking for better information, I was treated like a pest. She is a stain on every other good doctor at UW Health.

My appointment with Dr. Weis gave the impression of a caring professional, but it was a false impression. I count her among the most unkind health care professionals I have met. She had orally informed me that my small cerebellum, discovered by MRI, was within the realm of normal and not to worry, but her written report gave a different impression in the Diagnosis and Conclusion parts. When I asked her to correct this because it might hurt my chances for long term health care or insurance, she agreed, but she failed to follow through as I requested and she promised. Playing telephone tag with her nurses, who promised to get back to me with further information (and did not), I apparently annoyed her. Her solution was to refuse further service at her clinic and refer me to Patient Relations. Patient relations is not just for helping unhappy patients; it is also for disciplining unruly patients. I am not unruly but was made to feel so. If patients who ask questions, make… requests, and return nurses's calls are considered unruly, UW Heath is in trouble. Dr. Weis could have had a nurse return my call and tell me she had done for me all she was willing to do. That would have been good manners. She chose instead to treat me like a pest. That is not only bad manners; it is bad practices and just plain unkind.

Dr. Weiss worked hard to find preventive migraine medications for me.

doesn't explain anything. just glosses over questions " don't worry about it"

Had a student in the room she was trying to impress. She let him give me advise on taking a walk. Never followed up with me with my results. She was very flip and didn't take my problems seriously.

Dr. Anne Weiss is kind, caring, and compassionate.

Dr. Weiss diagnosed my dad's Parkinson's during a thorough exam at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. She was very caring and compassionate as she spoke to my dad. She was obviously very concerned about him. I appreciated her answering every single question I asked her. Dr. Weiss is a wonderful doctor!

The worst "bedside manner" I have ever encountered in a physician. She was extremely disrespectful (eyerolling, sneering.) Didn't take any time to answer my questions or concerns. She just blew me off. Also, completely insensitive to privacy concerns. Very unprofessional.
