Dr. Annette Meador, MD

Couldn't schedule appointment until she could review my records, took almost a month to be seen. On appointment day she came in and examined me for probably 10 minutes, which consisted of tapping my leg with triangle rubber hammer, touched my back a few times, then said well I can't help you. She reviewed my records long before the appointment, so she already new my situation. So then they said they would refer me to someone who could help me, it's been a week and a half and I still haven't heard from them. So I have to start over finding a pain management Dr. And wait for another appointment, all the while no one cares about my pain .

Went to Dr Meador for finger with RA in it. Guess she cant help fingers. Had already been to PT but she tried to show me exercises. Was going to inject lidocaine elsewhere which would help a couple hours. Dont go here if you really have a problem. Doctor doesnt have a clue. At a certain point you cant exercise RA away.

Worst Doctor I have ever had in my life. She completely ignored me and my needs, and is so full of herself that she believes that if she cannot find what is wrong, you must be lying about it. In the months I saw her, I never once got pain medication from her as I was trying to find pain relief without pain medication. So, to this day, I cannot figure out what she thought I was lying to her for?! So, instead of admitting that she couldn't figure out what the problem was and sending me to someone else, she accused me of lying to her and told my surgeon, general practitioner and physiatrist that I was also lying to them, violating my trust and privacy. On top of this, while she was actively attempting to ruin my life, she had the audacity to bill me for injections that did absolutely nothing to help, that I could prove she was under contract to bill only for what was paid for by my insurance. The insurance company had to threaten her to get her to back off. I went through 5 years of… pain, and even incontinents, without any treatment because of this horrible doctor. After finally getting someone to look at me again, it turned out I had arachnoiditis, something she could have tested for. However, since she was unwilling to even look for anything and since she had made up her mind I was lying; I lost 5 years of my life. All that pain and misery because she was too arrogant to admit that she didn't know what to do. Avoid her at all cost!

A few years ago I went to Dr. Meadors for migraines. On a positive note, I will say that I never had to wait very long. Also, the staff was always very kind. Dr. Meadors herself appears very professional. She dresses well and comes across in a professional manner - that is until you disagree with her. We disagreed about an issue a few appointments into my treatments. She became extremely condescending and angry. I got the feeling she was lying to me. Additionally, there’s an energy in the office at times that feels like her staff are very scared of her - perhaps the effects of her angry temper. From what I was able to observe in my six visits, I would say Dr. Meadors displays two very different personalities, and you never know which one you’re going to get. She does not encourage finding the root of a problem. She is quick to shuffle you along. I have now moved and attend a pain clinic in a different state. The doctors on staff care very much. They are the opposite of… condescending. It’s a night and day difference. I realize that some people have never had an issue with Dr. Meadors, and the negative reviews may be hard to believe because they have not yet seen the other side of her. That was actually me in the beginning. I was very surprised about things I heard. (I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.) And then it happened to me. Sadly, there are not many pain management clinics in the area, and I believe Dr. Meadors will never lack for business despite being downright awful at times.

Just finished my 1st session with Dr. Meador, Ignor any negative reviews, they must come from people who would have a problem if Jesus himself were treating them. The staff was extremely helpful, Dr. Meador did a complete exam explaining each step, while maintaining a cheerful conversation. Dr. Meador and her staff coordinated the process so that my wife could make her appointment in time else where. Oh, and since my wife is my memory and helps me with my clothing, she was welcomed in as part of my care team. We enjoyed meeting Dr. Meador and her first rate staff and look forward to future meetings. Marty & Hazel Stanhibel

I was referred to Dr. Meador from my PHP for my chronic pain. My first visit with her was so-so. She wants to get you in the office quickly talk to you about your situation then leaves, leaving the nurse to answer your questions, which she doesn't seem to want to help. On my second visit I took my wife with me so that she could ask questions about my pain level and what could be done. Upon arrival, I was told immediately that my wife could not go back to the exam room with me, the nurse stated that this is a HIPPA violation and that only the patient could go back. I looked this up and this is not a HIPPA violation, it is not a violation of any kind. I do not have any trust in a doctor that wants to distort the truth simply because she doesn't want confrontation. I will definitely not be back.

I waited for 2 hours to receive injections , for which she charged $4,000 (for 2 rounds of injections). The injections helped me none and Dr. Meador refused to listen when I told her I have inter-cranial hypotension (low cerebral spinal fluid) and not migraines; the difference is important because low pressure headaches do not respond to migraine treatments. After multiple battles with my insurance company I stopped receiving bills from Dr. Meador's office so I assumed she had been paid by my insurance company. I was recently referred to Dr. Meador again for more headache injections. Today Dr. Meador herself called me about the new referral and, after insisting that I have migraine headaches, she nastily demanded the $1,000 I owed from previous treatments. When I tried to explain why I'd not paid she hissed; "I've sent you 12 bills and now I'm sending you to collections." Mind you, my insurance company has paid this goblin queen $3,000 for the twenty minutes of time she spent with me.… I paid my balance in full within minutes of learning I still owed her money. I find it very sad that Dr. Meador is in the financial position of needing $1000 bad enough to berate one of her patients. Going forward I would not accept treatment from this woman if she paid me to do so. In fact, I would not even let her express my dog's anal glands if she paid me for the privilege of doing so.

I am shocked by some of these negative reviews. I have been going to Dr. Meador for years and love her. She truly cares about my health and well being. I have tension/migraine headaches and degenerative disc disease. There's no way to stop my headaches but she does give me relief. The blocks she gives me in my low back are helping to put off surgery. The last one she gave me lasted a YEAR!!! Amazing. I don't expect miracles but I couldn't live without this wonderful woman!!!

10 years of Dr visits 10 years later still no relief. Kept telling me i was depressed because i was in pain. Didnt want to be there anyway not a drug seeker. then oneday she told me there was nothing more she could do. So i left the office never returned but my back pain sure has. Star rating is a joke
