Dr. Chemmanur is the BEST Gastro Dr. I have EVER Had!! She Is So Caring, Professional, Knowledgeable and Always There when you need her. She Listens Intently and will do Testing and Procedures until there is a final Diagnosis. I Highly Recommend Her!! Gigi McMahon

I would not recommend Dr. Chemmanur to anyone. At my first visit, I waited 80 minutes to get in the exam room and my second one 45 minutes. She never explained anything unless I asked and when I did she gave very short answers that rarely actually answered my questions. It always felt like she thought I was dumb to ask at all and should have known what she did. All her answers to my problems seemed to lie in a pill. I must have taken home at least 8 different pills by now and some of them caused new side effects that she decided to treat with another pill. I don't like her approach to medicine and her staff is also very rude. One of her nurses ranted to me about a patient being out of line for complaining about the excessive wait time because she came in early as if that was a bad idea. The only good thing that came of it all was an idea of what's going on with me after an endoscopy (which I had to have further explained to me by my school nurse to understand-I'm only 18). Also, after… my endoscopy, she told me I couldn't have a wheelchair (my mother had to change my shirt for me and I couldn't sit up there was no way I was walking yet), but then I asked the hospital staff and they brought one up no problem.

Dr Annie Chemmanur is my doctor for years now. I am so glad I found someone with professionalism like her. It’s a honor been treated by her. She is kind and has a lot of knowledge. Thanks doctor for taking good care of me!

Dr. Chemmanur quite literally saved my life. At 38 years old, I was not a likely candidate for a colonoscopy even given my symptoms. Dr. Chemmanur carefully assessed my situation, made the recommendation and I agreed to the procedure. During the colonoscopy, she discovered and removed an "enormous" pre-cancerous polyp. I went from having a 100% chance of colon cancer to a 0% chance in one 30 minute procedure. Dr. Chemmanur is professional, competent, kind and easily worth your consideration for a Gastroenterologist .

She is extremely non professional. She would not pay attention to my symptoms. Used to take her shoes off and start playing with her feet during appointments. Also would take phone calls repetitively. She causes distractions when you're complaining of pain and suffering! She clearly did not want to take my symptoms seriously. I've had symptoms of diverticulitis for about a year now! My appt was cancelled! No new appts, rather a pretend waiting list. Absolutely worst stomach doctor out there! Beware! Can't Understand Normal Thinking!

The office staff is unable or unwilling to communicate with your other doctors to share patient information. It's like pulling teeth to get test results from Dr. Chemmanur to your primary doctor. I've never had less than a 2 hour wait at her office either, which is beyond ridiculous, especially when she only spends 5 minutes with her patients. I have had about 8 visits, so the wait time is definitely not uncommon. I found a new GI specialist.

Love her, been going to for over 5 years. She will really listen to you, and she cares about her patients.

She was very thorough. Good beside manner and seemed interested in me and my life.

I was a little reluctant to make an appointment after seeing some reviews that weren't so great. She was running a little behind, but the wait wasn't atrocious, about 35 mins. When Dr. C came in she was kind and attentive. She spent a lot of time with me and I felt like she listened and addressed my problem and questions. (And her English is fantastic). She also knew what bloodwork my insurance company would cover and what they wouldn't.
