My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a nephrologist which is a physician that specializes in kidney diseases. I became interested in nephrology because it allows me to focus on the complex issues of the kidney while also staying involved in the overall health of a patient.

My Practice Philosophy

I believe highly in preventing medical diseases before they occur and patient education so that patients are empowered to care for themselves. I also believe that healthcare is a team approach and appreciate our team of nurses, dietitians, social workers, and physicians who all work together with a patient to give the best possible care.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2009. I chose to work for Kaiser Permanente because it allows me to focus on the care of my patients rather than the business side of medicine. I also value Kaiser Permanente's emphasis on prevention.



On a Personal Note. . .

Outside of medicine, I cherish the time spent with my …husband, son, and daughter. We enjoy all outdoor activities and travel.
