Dr. Annisa Latifa Jamil, MD

Dr. Jamil has found solutions for my stubborn cases of glaucoma in both eyes. She worked with me for several years and continues to do so when an ophthalmologist in my community was no longer available. My view of her is that she is a highly skilled surgeon who has rescued me from having to apply up 4 kinds of eye drops 12 times a day ... to 0 drops. Most important, of course, she has rescued my sight. I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Jamil for glaucoma care. For me, she has been the very best.

I called the office, made an appointment and arrived for the visit 45 minutes ahead to fill out paperwork. I asked the receptionist if the Dr. was running late and she said no. After filling out paperwork, I waited 50 minutes to be placed in an exam room where a technician spent 5 minutes with the basic eye tests and told me the Dr would be right in. After waiting in the exam room for an hour and ten minutes I got up and left without ever seeing the Dr. No one from the office questioned me why or what the problem was. On the way out I explained how long I had waited and I had had enough. This Dr may be the best Specialist on the planet but if patients and their time are not treated with fairness, respect and equity, they will never get my business or respect.

Dr. Jamil has been my glaucoma doctor since 2005 and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have been her patient for many years. She is a caring, concerned and thorough physician, always taking the time to answer questions. A top glaucoma specialist.

When she was at her Madison Street location I was seen within an hour. I saw her for 6-7 years at this location. I've seen her at least 6 times at the Polyclinic and every single time I've had to wait 1.5 to 2 hours to see her. She's a good doctor. Just needs to be more respectful of her customers time.

I liked this dr. And liked the staff..I was treated with respect and dignity..Dr. Jamil knows her field and the tests were administered by people who have been in the field for some time...I did not care one whit that I had to wait...better waiting that to be rushed out of there..I'm considering SLT treatment and would like Dr. jJamil to do the surgery..a happy experience...thank you ..hope to have follow up visits

Dr Jamal discoved mechanical source of my glaucoma that the previous optometrist missed and was trying unsucessfully with meds only. I found Dr Jama on my own and needed a laser tx which immediately dropped my eye pressure by 50%.

This was my first appt. at Dr. Jamil's office. Staff was friendly, courteous and professional. Treated me as individual and with respect. Dr Jamil ordered tests, which were performed on site. Explained results, treatment needed and treated me with care and respect.I have rated my first experience, will add notes after follow up appt in 30 days.
