Dr. Annmarie Cassandra Mcdonald, MD

She is a good doctor… but as I tried to make an appointment for my husband who needs a referral to a cardiology and was on heart and blood pressure medication before has run out refills and lost contact of the old doctor .. I explained to the lady on the phone the urgency of an immediate appointment… she did not work with me and gave me an appointment for two weeks later because he is a new patient. She told to go to urgent care if is an emergency. I explained to her they would not give him the prescription of the medication for the heart and blood pressure…

Dr. Mcdonald was very kind and compassionate. She listened to my concerns and answered confidently. She also seen my children and was very engaged with each of them. I couldnt ask for a better doctor for my family. The office was nice and I was able to be seen the same day. I would recommend Dr. Mcdonald to anybody.

I did a walk in as a new patient. I waited for a while but that was to be expected. The staff were all friendly and professional. Dr. McDonald was very happy and friendly. She was able to diagnose me quickly and gave me brochures to read up on my issues. She even found an issue i didn't go there for which i found impressive. She took her time with me and i did not feel rushed or out of place. She answered all my questions. I would gladly go back. I loved her happy attitude.

Dr. Annmarie McDonald has got to be one of the most unprofessional doctors I’ve ever seen. This rating is far overdue & over the course of 2 years, she’s made various inconsiderate and inappropriate comments. The first time I went to see her, I needed a refill on my antidepressants (I’ve struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember) and she proceeded to tell me: “you don’t look depressed” .. really? What is a depressed individual supposed to look like? It’s clear to me that she’s not knowledgeable in mental health. I have a very irregular menstrual cycle and after letting her know that my last menstrual cycle was more than three months ago, she proceeded to insinuate that I was pregnant and legitimately said “I can get you pregnant” and laughed as if what she had told me was okay. Completely inappropriate.

Honestly the staff is unprofessional & rude, in person or on the phone. I’ve been left on hold without notice for an hour with no solution to the issue at hand. They don’t understand the proper way insurances work and can’t operate their own medical records software. Dr Mcdonald also was not as friendly as I thought she would be on multiple visits I had with her, she just rushed the visit and did not even call to notify me on my test results. Don’t waste your time & money here!

Been hearing about dr. Anne-Marie For a very long time from close friends and family .. as I’ve been thinking for switching my dr .. call to make an appointment .. and whoever is at the front desk my God she is terrible at communicating with people ..had me on hold for 15mins ..finally got to talk to her,while asking questions about the dr and the cost etc ..she then said I’ll put you only hold again 20 mins later I’m still on hold ..smh ..

I found Dr. McDonald to be a excellent doctor. The only time I have ever experienced doctors of her caliber is when I worked for doctors in Manhattan, New York. She is very professional, efficient, kind and thoughtful. She showed great expertise and patience dealing with me who can't stand pain of any type. Her office is a well organized and very easy on the eyes. Thanks to her I can maintain my health and no longer go lengthly amounts of time without medical care. I told her I loved her and she smiled. She has no idea if I had not found her I would not be going to the doctor because I cannot afford the specialist I worked for and have horror stories of the majority of doctors that have treated me in my sixty years to the point where I had just stopped going to the doctor. Thank you Dr. McDonald you are a gift to me from GOD!

Very Attentive knowledgeable and thorough

I only gave them 1 star because that is the lowest rating option. I had severe lower abdomen pain and was crying of pain. Called her rockaway blvd office to see if I can see her and they asked me to go at 11. I go a little before 11 and find an office packed with patients. I asked the girl who gave me the appointment if I can go immediately and she says no. I tell her I am in so much pain. She says she would ask the doctor but ignores my request. A few minutes later I check if she asked the doc and she picks up the phone and asks her. The doc says no. The doc asks if I came early, the receptionist says no and there is people who came earlier and hangs up the phone. I ask the girl how much time I have to wait , she says I have 5 patients before me. I ask why did you ask me to come now then...she tries to make up an excuse that she tried to find a slot on me on their busy schedule. She sees me in pain and tears and asks if U can go home and come back an hour later!!! That was the most… provocative statement. Extremely unprofessional. I had to leave and rushed to urgent md where they suspected it was my appendix. I went to the hospital and had a surgery that same night. I am switching to a more professional doc.
