Dr. Anshul Rao

Wish I would have seen these reviews before I waisted my time and money. I can only imagine the 5 stars on these reviews came from this Dr. just sounds like what he would say. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder 11 years ago. My Dtr. has the same disorder. I’ve seen other Dr.’s and I’ve done my research. Every time I would say something he said that’s not what I had. My problem was due to my age and weight!!! Really I’m not that darn old and yes I’m overweight. But not to where I can’t walk. I exercise weekly and have tried everything I can think of to help with the symptoms. He asks yes or no questions. When you try to elaborate he cuts you off. He tried to tell me that the disease I have goes away. I believe in God and trust me I’ve been praying for a miracle. My deasease doesn’t go away without a miracle. He tried to tell me that my disease doesn’t effect the areas where mine has an effect. If I were as bad as he wanted me to be. I probably wouldn’t be seeing him. I’d have… been seeing a Dr. at Duke. Please consider not going to this Dr. he also said he’d treat my pain with ibuprofen. I take Celebrex, not a smart decision. I already take pain meds. We were hoping further knowledge might help me in other ways. SERIOUSLY!!!! I am just totally aggravated.

This doctor needs training! You do not walk into a room for a patient you have never seen and tell them a diagnosis when you have not EXAMINED them or ran bloodwork to check them! Especially with a precious positive in bloodwork! A sorry doctor! Find another! Don’t visit this doc!!

Dr. Rao is a great Dr. I have been seeing him for years! People that have RA and other Autoimmune diseases have several Drs. With Dr. Rao all you have to do is ask the right questions. Everyone who has these diseases should already know that Autoimmune diseases cannot be treated but that all you can do is treat the symptoms, with that said only General practitioners and Pain Specialitsts can treat the symptoms. When diagnosed with these things research information is the most important thing you can do! Education is key! This Doctor is wonderful!

I can't say any thing about the Doctor because I never got to see him. i made an, appt. Over two months in advance . sent in all the required paper work a month and a half before the appt. i was going in for RA., at 11:30 a.m. the day before I recieved a call from a staff member cancelling my appt. Because the doctor does not treat "joint Pain" !!?!!

This doctor is the worst. He has no bedside manner, does not answer your questions ,asks yes and no questions. What a waste of time and money. My daughter was diagnosed with RA and he would not give her any medication.Said to see primary doctor. Read his reviews and judge for yourself. Time to move on to another doctor. Good riddance.

Starts off with negative comment. Types everything you say into computer which are yes no questions. Then the computer tells him what to do next. He barely does an exam and tells you to go back to family doc. Which is who sent me to you. Wow just wow. Do not waste your $ on this waste of time! Waited an hour for him to come in room and no other patients waiting.

I've been to many doctors in my lifetime and Dr. Rao was hands down one of the worst. When asked if I should modify my diet to help control symptoms, he told me to "eat whatever you want", which is wildly antiquated and horrific advice. He also told me that he "didn't care" about autoimmune diseases and that he "doesn't treat them". He was interested in his own agenda, completely ignored my symptoms, and ended up costing me hundreds of dollars out of pocket because they used their own lab for the single blood test he ran on me. I cried in the parking lot after this appointment. ABSOLUTELY terrible doctor and experience.

I would not chose this doctor again, the bedside manner was not nice. I could not talk to him and tell him what was going on with me.. He said that I had RA. but everytime I tell him what was hurting ,,, he was not treating that. So I could not commumicate with him,
