Dr. Anson Hooper

We have been going to Dr. Hooper for several years. Let me start by saying Dr. Hooper is a good dentist but we will be taking our business elsewhere because of recent actions by his office. First my wife’s May cleaning visit was cancelled because one of the hygienists left the office. However since this appointment was made 6 months prior no consideration was given to that fact and she was placed at the end of line with the other hygienist. Seems to me earlier bookings should be given first priority regardless of who the hygienist was. I guess the office was too lazy to work that out. Since no accommodations have been given for the cleaning in the past two months she has gone elsewhere to a new dentist. Today I was called one day before my cleaning appointment to inform me the office has switched dental plans and I would not be covered. Really? One day notice and why wasn’t a letter sent out to me earlier with that information? Office incompetence? They said I could get the… cleaning for an out of network price of $99 which is totally outrageous. I declined and now I am looking for a new dentist as well. Don’t know if other existing patients are having these issues but if I were looking for a new dentist I would unfortunately skip this practice.
