Dr. Anthony Earl Abang, MD

Dr.Abang is a awesome doctor I drive a hour each way to see him. he has been my doctor since 2009 .

I saw Dr. Abang for over a year for CHRONIC PAIN. He upped me to opana, morphine, and percocet (not all together, he would change me every month even when I told him one was working) <------ these meds gave him kick backs for perscriping (the nurse actually told me this!!)! When he knew I was only on loratabs before, he upped me to medication that would have me in withdrawl if I go without now. After seeing him for OVER A YEAR one day he comes in and says, "we should get you off your meds, you can handle no meds". NEED I remind you I'Ve had SO many docs tell me I'll be on pain meds for the rest of my life and he puts me on meds that make me dependant on them and them pulls me off almost all of them (no missed/failed drug screen) he would not really listen to me that he had done nothing but throw meds at me and did no other course of treatment. I was happy with him for about the 1st 6 months but after I wasn't taking him exspensive meds that he was getting a kick back from he did NOT… seem to care about me anymore. Just beware, do your research and don't automatically think what he says/diagnosises is gold!

Like him-one big complaint is that You have to have your pharmacy send a request for a refill-takes 3 days-sometimes more-for someone who is in chronic pain, it is devastating. I actually usually have to miss a day while waiting. Gets my pain level back up to an unmanageable level and by the time I get the pain medicine, I am practically hysterical.....He's nice, I feel like he wants to help you. Maybe he's not aware of this practice....I have talked to other patients while waiting and they have the same compaint. I am actually waiting right now-no sense in calling again......just have to leave another message.....:(

I go to him he is very nice and I am in severe pain I tried explaining that I need here meds strength upped a lil more and more often my pain meds only stop my pain for like 3 to 4 hours I have been trying to tell him that taking the pain tablets 4 times a day kept me comfortable I use to get 4 lortab 10s a day from my old back dr and i shouldnt tell my last name my name is ruth I i am wanting to find a way of getting him to get my life back on track again and the muscle relaxers he was given me didnt help only muscle relaxer i have ever taken that actually helped was cardisopol

Dr. abang has a very caring and gentle personality. He is easy to talk to and I think he is a good prefessional.

DR ABANG IS A CARING DOCTOR AND LISTENS TO YOU. HE IS VERY COURTEOUS AND TAKES HIS TIME WITH YOU.STAFF VERY NICE AND HELPFUL.

This is a doctor that really does care. Thank God for him. He takes time and really does care about how you feel and what is wrong with you. His staff is wonderful and so helpful.Thank You Dr. Abang for being a caring and courteous doctor.
