Dr. Anthony Kweku Agadzi, MD

Dr. Anthony Agadzi is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a career spanning over 18 years in comprehensive eye care and surgical practice. Born and raised in Accra, Ghana, Dr. Agadzi relocated to the United States to pursue his medical training, earning his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 2003. He went on to specialize in ophthalmology, completing residency training at the University of California, San Francisco in 2007. Since establishing practice in Vallejo, Dr. Agadzi has become known for his surgical skill—particularly in cataract surgery—and for delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care to patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Dr. Agadzi’s commitment to excellence has been recognized locally: he and Redwood Eye Center were honored as “Medical Doctor and Clinic of the Year” by the Times Herald (Vallejo). He is actively engaged in community outreach, organizing and participating in vision screenings, public health …education, and charitable programs in collaboration with civic organizations such as the Lions Club. A multilingual clinician fluent in several languages including Spanish, Dr. Agadzi prioritizes culturally competent communication to improve access and outcomes for a diverse patient population.
