Dr. Anthony G Bohorfoush, MD

Dr Bahorfoush is very knowledgeable and competent, and he is very kind, patient and compassionate. I feel lucky to be under his care.

Dr. Bohorfoush has been treating my chronic pancreatitis for two years and is an extremely thorough specialist. I trust him completely.

I highly recommend Dr. B. I've only been for one visit so far, but was so favorably impressed that I felt moved to write a review. He listened really well and did not make me feel rushed (despite the fact that he was running a bit late, and my situation was complicated and time-consuming). He seemed interested and engaged, and I left feeling very confident that he will do his best to figure out what's going on with me and provide whatever help is possible. He's the third GI I've been to, and had the best bedside manner by a very, very wide margin.

I've been going to Dr. Bohorfoush for more than a decade since I survived Colon Cancer and he's always been compassionate, concerned with my well being, and forth coming about any problems I might face. He's a quiet reserved guy when you talk to him, but don't misconstrue that with aloofness. He has been surprisingly engaged even after I was cured.

And so was the first and second. I recently completed my third colonoscopy with Dr Bohorfoush. Again, he and his staff were professional and attentive. I have always been made to feel very comfortable during these procedures, and have always left feeling I had received the best care possible.

Dr. B has a great reputation among doctors in the area, and my experience with his office was nothing short of excellent.His staff is professional and courteous, and my wait was never more than 10 minutes. In my case, Dr. B only used invasive procedures when all else failed--he tried his best to avoid expensive, painful procedures, and I really appreciate that.I would absolutely recommend Dr. B to anyone suffering from GI problems. His great reputation is no lie. He can be difficult to get in touch with, but that is typical of any successful physician. (NOTE: I am sorry the other reviewer had such a bad experience, but I have seen no evidence that Dr. B is only interested in "complex" cases. Mine was as boring as they come, and he treated me with empathy and professionalism.)

If your problem sounds complex, he is interested. He seems caring when you get to meet him, but only as long as he believes that your problem if complex. If your problem sounds simpler to him, even when his diagnosis is wrong, he does not care. His office staff does not call back even if you are in severe pain and discomfort. Find someone else to help with your GI problems. Untrustworthy!
