Dr. Anthony Bradley Boland, MD

A. Bradley Boland, M.D., F.A.C.S., a seasoned vascular surgeon for St. Joseph Vascular and Endovascular Specialists in Bellingham, Wash., has joined the Medical Center faculty as an associate professor of surgery. After receiving the B.A. in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Boland earned his M.D. at the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed postgraduate training in general surgery from 1979-84 at Washington University/Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Mo., and in vascular surgery from 1984-85 at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. A partner specializing in general and vascular surgery at the Seattle Surgical Group from 1985-90, Boland became a founding partner of the Vascular Associates, P.S. in 1990, serving as a general and vascular surgeon through 1993 before specializing in vascular surgery. He left Vascular Associates in 1997 to join the Alliance of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgeons, for whom he served …as a vascular surgeon until 1999. That year, he became founder and president of Vascular Associates, P.C., in Chattanooga, Tenn. He remained with Vascular Associates for eight years before joining St. Joseph. A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Boland is a member of several professional societies, including the Society for Vascular Surgery, the International Society for Vascular Surgery, the American Heart Association and Alpha Omega Alpha.
