This jerk seemed more interested in getting back to his nurses and chicken fingers than helping my mum. Total jerk. Found care elsewhere.

He was so rude, came in the room with an attitude basically yelling "what can I do for you?" I told him how my daughter had strep throat or I thought she did. Then he questioned if I had a pediatrician for her which I do, but you can't always get a same day appointment & he then informed me next time to go through them so next time I'll go to the walk in or a different ER! I will never deal with him again.

Awesome caring doctor

I have read all comments and agree with them all. He is not a dr that I want to deal with.. My husband is 81 and has dementia, I know he has been to the ER more than he should have but that is no reason to treat him the way he was treated.

I saw this man at St. Johns T St. John's Sparrow ER. I had fallen and reinjured my shoulder. I was in a great deal of pain. He never examined me, only ordered x-rays. Sent me home with nothing for the pain because "he only gives medication if there is a broken bone". He even implied that I was just seeking an opioid fix. He was arrogant. condescending, and rude. He actually said it is not my pain is not his problem. Run if you see him

There are Doctors and there are Healers. Clearly Doctor Anthony Burgess is a Doctor. One of the many very bright people who are now doctors but have no clue how to heal people. Staff and nurses were great.

Dr Burgess saw my mom in the ED of Sparrow hospital in St Johns, Mi after she had a fall. She is 88, on Coumadin and Burgess acted like he couldn’t be bothered to put a couple of staples in her scalp laceration. I finally asked and he said no. So I took a picture and sent it to a family member who works in a large ED. She showed a Dr she works with and even he said it needed to be sutured. Yes, by the time I got my mom to Dr Burgess the bleeding had stopped however the gaping wound needed to be addressed. Dr Burgess reason for not putting some staples in was it had stopped bleeding, Dr Burgess is rude, arrogant, and gave my mom a poor exam and in general poor medical care.

This doctor would not listen to me about my asthma and did not treat me properly. Arrogant, insensitive, examination completely inadequate. I couldn't get in to my regular doctor, they recommended that I go to the St. Johns, MI Clinton Hospital ER. So it was expensive and a waste. He didn't believe me and I couldn't breathe; asthma patients with chronic bronchitis do not always present with "typical" symptoms... this guy doesn't know how to examine patients. Or care about them.
