Summary

Dr. Anthony DeLuise is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been practicing at Orthopedics Rhode Island (formerly Foundry Orthopedics & Sports Medicine) since 2007. Dr. DeLuise specializes in hand surgery and upper extremity surgery including shoulder surgery; microvascular surgery; treatment of fractures; carpal tunnel syndrome surgery (CTS); sports medicine; Dupuytren’s contractures, trigger digits, rheumatoid arthritis; arthritis of the hand, fingers, wrist, elbow and shoulder; and arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, and wrist.Dr. DeLuise is well-trained in orthopaedic trauma and fracture care, and arthroscopy from his residency at Boston University & Boston Medical Center. He completed an additional year of training focused on the hand and upper extremity at one of the most prestigious hand fellowships in the country – The Philadelphia Hand Center and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. This also gave Dr. DeLuise the opportunity to care for professional athletes across multiple sports. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the RI Medical Society and the RI Orthopedic Society. Dr. DeLuise graduated, magna cum laude, from Boston University and then earned his M.D. degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He is one of the only surgeons in Rhode Island to have passed the specialized exam for hand surgery, certifying his abilities to treat all upper extremity problems. His approach to patient care is a conservative one, maximizing non-surgical methods of treatment for his patients prior to recommending surgery. He works hard to develop a partnership with all of his patients, beginning with listening and exploring how the physical problem affects your daily life. With in-depth conversations, he will help you understand the diagnostic process, your unique problem, all possible treatment choices and the recovery process, so you can decide the best course of treatment together.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
