Dr. Anthony John Detommasi, MD

I saw him years ago and he threw me literally threw a pack pills on the table and said these probably won’t work but if you still feel bad in a month call me. He was rude and very condescending. I’ve never went back. I went to my current doctor and have been there for years. This guy enjoys making mental health issues as a joke. Go anywhere else.

This psychiatrist treated me for what he misdiagnosed as schizophrenia. He had me committed 9 months and caused a severe depression due to prescribing the wrong medication. Unfortunately, I ended up under his care once again years later when I got sick. He tried to have me committed for 6 months to a mental institution. Fortunately, my family transferred me to a different hospital and away from him. I was out in two weeks! He is not a good psychiatrist and can be actually really bad for your health.

He ate his lunch during my visit. He called me a "nervous nelly." He was given my diagnosis from a previous psy MD in MA but changed it. He was wrong, I got the wrong meds. I would not recommend this MD to anyone.
