Dr. DiGioia and his staff were excellent. Had other knee done elsewhere. No comparison, was able to do things with a lot less pain and a lot sooner with this one. I may have to have the other knee done again, I would only use Dr. DiGioia Highly recommended.

All doctors are in it for the money. Don’t be fooled. I have a very close family member who isadoctor. Why do you think he is a doctor. For the praise. You are a real idiot!

i am waiting for my knee replacement surgery next month and was reading through these comments tonight. I have been a patient for several years and now it is time for surgery. The office runs like clockwork because everyone has their specific job to do. He has an excellent team and some of the staff has been there for over sixteen years. He is intelligent, articulate, speaks so I understand him, answers any questions I have had and not pushed me over the years to get this replacement. He said I would know when I needed it and he was right. I feel completely confident in my choice. Everybody can't love every doctor they see. Everyone has their own personality. He is a good man and has a sterling reputation.

My mom had both her hips replaced by Dr. DiGioia in 2015. To be honest, I don't understand how he could not have a 5 star rating. He is an amazing surgeon who really put my mom's mind at ease. She was terrified before her first surgery, and Dr. DiGioia really helped to relieve the presurgery anxiety. Her operation went well, and he was very friendly when he called to tell us the procedure was complete. The doctor and the staff were all amazing from my mom's first appointment to her follow-up care. I just want to point out that, at Magee, different doctors perform different services. Dr. DiGioia performs all first time knee and hip replacements. Another doctor performs revisions. Dr. DiGioia is a surgeon. That's his job. There are other orthopedists to perform non-operative care. He's one of the top joint replacement surgeons in the country. I think that it's great he works almost exclusively with joint replacement patients because that allows him to use his talents to serve more… people. My whole family recommends Dr. DiGioia as a surgeon, and that is very rare because we're all involved in different aspects of health care.

Quick appointment but the staff is rushed. The doctor spends no time with you. The practice is setup like a factory, they only want patients who are eligible for hip replacement. They don't want to care for the patient's whose symptoms are not severe enough to warrant surgery. Dr. Digioia makes for an excellent politician, he seems courteous but smiles in your face knowing he only needs you for money. If you don't need your hip or knee replaced, he sends you to one of his partners to deal with. If you become a problem patient, or marked "RPP" for Return Problem Patient, your put in a special slot. His schedule only holds so many RPP's per day. If you fall into this category, you'll be waiting a long time for an appointment, so don't make him mad. If a patient comes in for an unspecified symptom, or something other than a hip or knee surgery, he can often be heard cussing out his employees in the hallways. His practice is built for one thing, profit. They do an EXCELLENT job… at being courteous and smiling, but it's just for cash. They get you in and out to maximimize how many patients they see a day. He'll see roughly 45 patients between 6am-10am. Please explain how he can accurately diagnose you with an allotted appointment bracket of five minutes a patient. Don't go to him, once he does your surgery, theres no follow through. You'll be treated as a number. Any problems, he won't deal with you, you'll be sent to his partners.

OF ALL PREVIOUS PROCEDURES I'VE HAD THIS EXPERIENCE BY FAR WAS THE BEST IN ALL ASPECTS AS RATED ABOVE. IF I HAD TO DO IT ALL AGAIN I WOULD NOT CHANGE A THING. OUTSTANDING....

I am so greatfull and thank full for being refered by a friend. Ive had both knees replaced, no more messing around. I've had a great recovery, and look forward to feeling better than I have in 30 years. I know I have to kerp on exercising every week. Thank you Dr.
