Dr. Anthony C Diliscia, PhD

I picked Dr Diliscia from a list of providers recommended based on my search criteria on AHN.org Find-A-Doctor. I saw him about 7 times. I had been through couples counseling many times before over a 22-year period but individual counseling was new to me. I wasn’t forced to seek counseling; I felt I could really benefit from talking to a professional. Initially, I was positively surprised by some of the turns our conversations took and I considered him a help in getting onto the right path toward finding answers to my questions about marital matters and issues he had dug up from my past about neglect, abuse, the need to self-parent and the notion and utility of self-acceptance. During one of the session his eyes kept closing and he almost fell asleep on me. At one point he said “can you restate that” b/c he clearly hadn’t heard a word I said. It was so unprofessional that I decided not to return for my next visit even though I had already rendered my co-pay.I would not recommend him.
