Dr. Anthony Robert Ferkich, MD

Wish I could give a 0 for my experience with Dr. Anthony Robert Ferkich. Saw him in ER for COVID and bleeding issues. He probably in TOTAL spent less than 5 mins with me. He immediately ordered labs and rushed me, does not entertain questions. He came hours later to say I could go home with a script to paxlovid and didn't address my bleeding issues. He delivered the message in less than a minute and was gone. I complained to the nurse about him, the nurse took time to answer some questions as best as he could. I am filling a patient complaint, this is ridiculous.

BEWARE OF DR. FERKICH: I have already filed a complaint about Dr. Ferkich with: My Healthcare Molina, & the CA Medical Board. Dr. Ferkich DELIBERATELY gave me meds I was allergic to!

Felt so rushed. I didn’t see him for hours. I felt like he was not listening to what I had to say. Don’t waste your time like me.

I saw Dr. Ferkich last week. I can in to Scripps after I was kicked in the back by a horse. Dr. Ferkich attempted to palpate my abdomen. It was unsucusseful because of pain. He was in the room for less than 30 seconds. He ordered pain medication, chest xray, and a CT scan. This was the last I saw of him until 5 hours later when he told me I had a broken rib and could go home. This took 10 seconds. At no time did Dr. Ferkich look at my injury, listen to my chest (I told him I was having chest and upper shoulder pain). He may not have heard me as he was on his way out the door. There was no urinalysis for kidney damage. In short , I went to Scripps ER with a major injury, spent 5 hou rs there and was not examined by the doctor before I was discharged. Avoid this doctor at all costs. Scripps is flirting g with a lawsuit by allowing him to work there.

Dr. Ferkich is one of the most amazing doctors I have ever met. He was extremely attentive and made me feel comfortable and confident in my healthcare. All of these comments don’t correlate with the treatment I received. Nothing short of AMAZING

Monsterous doctor

I went in with a swollen lip and mouth and lesions. Dr. Ferkich was quick to tell me I had just a cold sore and that he got those too (but told me in front of the nurse that she, Ashley, probably doesn't get them because she's quite healthy). That seemed a bit unprofessional. The next day it was much worse so I went to see another doctor for a second opinion and they did some tests and determined I had bacterial infections and prescribed antibiotics. Had I not gotten a second opinion I would be still just applying lip chap on a bacterial infection... sad that he may be misdiagnosing other patients and doesn't seem to care if he does!

Doctor barely looked at me then dismissed the situation as nothing. Spent at most 3 minutes with me and then overcharged for his services. Saw him in the ER so I had no choice about which Doctor I saw. If you have any choice, find someone that cares a little more.

This Doctor was completely dismissive of my needs & concerns. It was painfully obvious he had his own agenda. He was rude & arrogant from start to finish. I was disppointed to be treated with such disrespect by a healthcare "professional". It was humiliating. I've always believed In the Scripps organizations, but this experience will keep me on guard for now on.. Sadly.

Yes indeed, a paycheck is all Mr. Ferkich desires. Doctors are supposed to help you, however, he had zero desire or intention on helping me. He was soley concerned with getting me out of the ER as fast as posssible. He literally spent 3 minutes with me, rushed my symptom description, then disappeared for 2 hours...then comes back to discharge me. Horrible!!
