Dr. Anthony Jay Fillmore, MD

Dr. Fillmore was on call for my excellent surgeon following a complicated colon resection in 2018. When Fillmore visited me in the hospital, he never got within 6 feet of me. When I complained of pain in my lower back, he made no comment. Once I was released home, I quickly ran through my allotment of pain meds, and had increasing pain to a level 8. I called and left messages: no reply. Finally my Home Health nurse and my PCP called on my behalf. Got 2 days' worth of pain meds. Still having pain - my husband took me to the office and we insisted I be seen. Dr. Fillmore was very off-hand about the pain, and said it would soon subside. I was given a scrip for another 2 days' pain medicine. Back to the office again 2 days later with really severe pain. Fillmore still non-committal. Finally a PA suggested I might have an abscess (characterized by severe back pain with surgeries like mine). Thank God I then received imaging and the appropriate care. More than a week… of uncontrolled pain and loads of stress, thanks to Fillmore's lack of attention and lack of compassion.

Had to have emergency surgery. Dr. Fillmore was extremely professional, kind, compassionate and listened to my needs and concerns with an open mind. Was blessed to have him there at a time of a life saving need.

Dr. Fillmore was amazing with my son, 10, when he shattered party of his hand. He recovered perfectly, with no residual affects or pain! Thank God for him and his staff!
