Dr. Anthony Foong, MD

The front desk staff is rude, bad customer service. They charge me $250 deductible and $50 Co-pay even my health insurance only needs to pay $50. The staff lie to you, saying that they will refund you the $250 if my insurance cover the colonoscopy service. Finally, my insurance paid the doctor, I called the office to request for refund, the front desk staff said she don't know if they get paid and asked me to call my insurance and provide them the check # and the amount and she has no time to call. Obviously, they don't want to refund my money. In addition, I received $500 deductible bills from Anesthesia company that I'm not being informed before the procedure. They send me to anesthesia provider that is out of network in my insurance even doctor Foong is in-network provider. Very unresponsible provider!

I made an appointment and arrived on time but had to wait four hours on an empty stomach to get a check up. They do not know how to time manage with so many people waiting here

I have seen another chinatown gastroenterologist and I must say Dr. Foong is far better in terms of communication and knowledge compared to my former rude doctor. Dr. Foong was interested in talking to me beyond the scope of my gastric condition and I was able to learn a little about him, which is how a patient-doctor relationship should be (rather than a quick 5 minute history writeup, prescribe some drugs, and leave without a complete understanding of your medical condition as a patient). While the wait time can be improved, my experience with the courteous staff members makes up for it. There is one receptionist that I especially adore. She is extremely cheery and amiable. She made a good impression from the start, when I called in to make the appointment.

I don't appreciate how the secretary spoke to me.
